I had a 1967 Ford F100 with a 240 straight 6. At about 86,000 miles it became necessary to rebuild the engine and I decided to do it myself. One morning, my wife and I had just poured ourselves a cup of coffee when I said that I would need her help with pulling the engine out of the truck. We went out, removed the hood, I asked her to start draining the coolant and removing the radiator and hoses, and I crawled underneath to disconnect the drive shaft, transmission cross member, motor mounts, and linkage for throttle and choke. Once that was all complete, we hooked up a come-along and lifted the motor and transmission out and set it on the floor. We walked back into the house and our coffee was still warm. It took us less than 1/2 hour to do that.
