Well, at least she survived. The bonehead could have killed somebody, however. Over a car.

The most excitement I've witnessed in a LONG time.
Stuff like that just doesn't happen here.
1. People don't earn as much. They'd NEVER disrespect their wheels in such a manner.
2. Driver Probably knows the cops chasing her down. How embarrassing.
3. Future generations will be told this story till the cows come home. (Forever).
4. Stopped traffic probably knows the woman.
She ain't ever getting invited to anymore festivities. Her very own family might disown her.
5. If the GP happens to be in one of the stopped vehicles, he might just have some xanax with him. Oops. It's one of his patients. He'll offer her one. Calm the chick down. Oh. Was that sexist? Who can know for sure? Who cares?

What could have possibly happened to begin the chase?

A simple "ma che fai?!" would have sufficed.

You made me laugh GodsGrace.
I live in Southern California.
We have car chases a lot here.
Because of all the freeways, people think they can get away.
It is not uncommon to have multiple chases in a week.
And the TV stations turn it into an event.
They follow the chase with their helicopters; with running commentary between the pilots and the newscasters.
They break into normal broadcasting to show it.
If it goes on long enough, and they are circling a certain location, some people come out of their homes and cheer them on.
Plus, I gotta say, watching it real time gives a rush.
You would think that the police would have a better way to stop them than just chase them around.
Keep walking everybody.

I know this is a distressing situation.
But you also made Me laugh.
Unfortunatey not for the right reason.
I did watch the OJ chase.
Hubby and I were at a BBQ on Long Island (New York). We gathered around and watched it.
I guess that's what started it all.

Yeah, I think that's the car chase I watched a few days ago. I was amazed at how the FHP officer who was doing most of the filming drove pretty much right along with the woman. Smashing up cars as he squeezed through lanes and shoulders pretty much the same as the woman driver did. Then she jumped into a fill lake and they had to fish her out of there.
I mean, honestly, why would anyone think that they're going to outrun the police on a busy freeway? And where did she think she was going to swim to that they wouldn't be standing there waiting on her to come up? Oh well. I suppose one gets caught up in the moment and the only scenario running through their head at the moment is to flee. And so they do.
