Many of you would be familiar with this story
My mum has it at home on a wall
When i was young she told me to read it
My heart was hardened and my mind was clouded
I didn't believe God and didn't understand the story
I was the prodigal son, though i didn't make it known to my parents
I remember hearing the prodigal son parable when i was a boy and having this sense that it was going to be me one day
Weird. I used to get a lot of De Ja Vu when I was a boy as well oddly
Anyway after i returned and read the footprints in the sand i was just so moved
All the times that i had criticized, blamed and questioned God came to mind and i repented deeply
The story is more about how Jesus is always with us and carries us
But i see also how easy it is for us humans to blame God through lack of knowledge and understanding
An honest question about God can easily lead to bringing God into question
Eg take a difficult topic like pain and suffering or evil. Some people will conclude that God is evil
I often see atheists blaming God which i find extraordinary. Here we have someone who claims that God is false and you hear them blaming poverty, war, natural disasters and everything on Him. How can you blame someone you don't even believe
Anyway on a lighter note this is part 2 of my footprints moment
Thank you Jesus for walking with me, carrying me and even dragging me through life.
