Is this an old pizza place?
no I will post that place, I have but there is a better picture facing it. see post 79 for what that is. the name fully is the bitmore flora and penn apartments which all were first motels. this edifice is the last of four and is the flora.

It looks a little creepy.
People dont have a/c here but then again in FL you'd think if it was available. Maybe they used those old swamp coolers?
that's because its left like that. it was occupied up to 2004. the canes seem to have done that in for being rented. its not condemned just the owner closed it. he may have lost money in the crash and just wants to sell it. tis old and wood stucco. they take a lot of cash to keep up.

I wonder why they don't tear it down? Is it possible that if it were in running order that it could make a profit?

I hope they don't tear it down. one of many old edifice that we have lost. it had three others just like it to the south. the lot that they were since then is still vacant. I drove by that yesterday to see if I was right. its gone. hereView attachment 6001 View attachment 6002

the pizza place would have been on the southern end by the sign that says shrimp scampi . the door to enter is right there. there is a whole story of this and its sister edifice to the north and why so many edifice built by waldo sexton have this large arch way. tis because he wanted a Parisian feel to vero beach.

Very cool. I like that kind of architecture.
unique to my town only. there is a few other edifice that are similar to this here. pocahantas aparments which is as old or older will look close to that and was never a motel. its business and has apartments up top.

Downtown here, there is a building where if you look up you can see where huge doors used to be, that door used to be at street level but they had to build Seattle up. It's an old morgue and the horse carriages used to back up to that. Supposedly it's very haunted and a few years back they were turning it into a restaurant.
Did you ever hear of the story about this nurse who had a "retreat" here in WA, for women who suffered from various diseases? It was on like 48 hours or 20/20? Well, the women would go there, she would basically starve them and they would die - and these women were paying for it! I guess that is the morgue where they brought all those people to.

I remember people were saying that restaurant wouldn't stay opened long because of all the evil spirits there, but who knows. I've never been.

It's kind of creepy having a childcare center in an old funeral home, too.

they don't know it. who would unless you were told what it was. I didn't know until the fb page mentioned it. I worked and read that edifice numerous times and didn't know.its obvious to see it once you know. shoot people live on the area called the fingers that was a marsh and dump.
