Good thread. IMO, Abbeyjoy nailed it. The Lord looks at the heart. From your words here in this thread WRG1405, I can tell that in your heart, you have forgiven the man and are repentant in your heart, both.

Your conscience bugging you is proof that, the Holy Spirit is working within you, you are being transformed by the renewing of your mind...just like He said would happen. (Romans 12:2)

You're OK Brother. I know how tough it can be to forgive some things. I struggle with it myself. His love covers a multitude of sins, and His mercy and compassion for us allows us to be able to grow, in Christ...
