former Lutherans interested in Russian Orthodoxy

Friends, This is Scott in Pennsylvania. I am a former Lutheran who no longer believes the distinctive Lutheran doctrines, after a study of Church history and of the Bible text itself. I was convinced of the truth of Russian Orthodoxy (Greek Orthodox Church, all the Orthodox churches of various nations) by reading John 15:26. Only the EOC really emphasizes and teaches what this verse says and means. Also, while I am not yet a full member of the EOC, I am still remaining interested in the ROC. The Russians really live by their Orthdodoxy. So do the Greeks. Anyway, I need to live better, and this takes time. At this point, my main contact with EO is through EO books. I am writing a book on EO doctrine based on the text John 15:26, and the Mystagogy of the Holy Spirit by St. Photios of Constantinople.
If any of you are like me, leaning toward Eastern Orthodoxy, or, better still, have actually been or become an Eastern Orthodox (EO) Christian, feel free to write to me here. God bless you in your search for Truth.

Hi Scott and welcome. :waving I also approved your Debate thread.

We non orthodox believers don't see it as a salvific issue so you may not find a taker unless one of our RCC members jump in. :lol

Remember, no denomination has a monopoly of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus said: 'He shall testify of me'.
