Fruit of our lives is easy to see, it is what we do and say.
But how set in stone is Gods ideas of acceptable fruit, bad fruit, good fruit.
Is fruit in words, confession, statements as well as actions?
Funnily most of what we do is words and how they relate to other people.

34 For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.
35 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him,
and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
Matt 12

43 No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.
Luke 6

18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart,
and these make a man 'unclean.'
19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual
immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
20 These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed
hands does not make him 'unclean.'
Matt 15, Mark 7:21-23

15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing,
but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from
thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
Matt 7

5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your strength
Deut 6

42 I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.
43 I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but
if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.
John 5

Jesus will purify our hearts, cleanse them, remake them and fill
them with love. Out of the heart flows the intentions and content
of the heart. If it has not been purified and love does not reign
supreme, then many thorns and thistles will flow out to destroy
and maim those who come to close. Sadly this has been my
experience of many who claim to know God but resist love and
a purified heart and their intention is to destroy the testimony
of righteousness, and reduce the church to sinners who point
to Jesus only, and do not walk the walk, because that is self
righteousness.

This teaching is they have an eternal spirit life, which will be in
heaven, and the rest of them will be thrown away and replaced
by a new body, soul, and heart.

You know these false prophets by their fruit.

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
John 15

11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
Eph 5

12 They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted--twice dead.
Jude 1

8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
Matt 3

10 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
Matt 3

43 "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
Matt 21

8 This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples
John 15

9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.
Luke 13

No fruit then we are destroyed

13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.
14 Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.
Mark 11

Fruit matters to God, good fruit, immensely.

John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
