Full time pastoring

Is it right to be a pastor of a church and at the same time be doing other non-pastorial jobs, e.g any business (office work, business person or whatever).



Some tell us the right thing is: absolute pastorial service - get paid by the church and have no other business.

Some say it's okay to be a pastor and at the same time do other private (non-pastorial) jobs.

I would say the church should pay their pastors enough that they can live off of that salary alone. From what I've seen, though, that is not always the case, sadly enough. In those situations, I'd say it would be acceptable for the pastor to have another job as a source of income. Just my 2 cents.
