(This is one of the better poems I've written)
What good are cats? I ask you now.
No good are cats you say.
They use you as a scratching post,
And rub your skin away.
All they do is howl
When you are trying to sleep.
And if you scream they purr at you
And make you feel like a creep.
They drop their hairballs in your den
When you’re trying to clean for guests.
They nip and scratch and bite and yet
No one thinks they’re pests.
So if you’re planning to buy a cat,
Just put the thought to bed.
If you want a loyal pet,
Buy a dog or parrot instead.
