Could we please clear up what the fruits of the Spirit are?
Some believe the word FAITHFULNESS should be FAITH.
God Father is the giver of salvation and faith as is stated in Ephesians 2:8-9
That would be considered gifts. Both salvation and faith are gifts from God to those that wish them.

The Holy Spirit, instead, gives us FRUIT that we receive by obeying God and following Him so that we
may have HIS peace. We have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness.

We ALREADY have faith given to us by God Father....so the fruit must be FAITHFULNESS...
Faithfulness to God.

Galatians 5:22 NASB
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

I'm not quite sure I understand your question. It seems you answered it with Galatians 5:22. But then you also mention that fruits are received.

When I read Scripture I understand fruits to be given or shown rather than received. Jesus spoke of fruits as a way of recognizing false prophets and teachers. That too implies that fruits are not something received but rather something given or expressed outwardly and others can see them and experience them.

I agree with you.
Some think that last word is faith and that this is how we get faith.

But, as I said, we already have faith if the Holy spirit is giving the fruit thereof, so it must be faithfulness. Faithfulness toward God and our walk with Him.

Isa 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD

I've heard one member say the seven spirits of God are the fruits of the Spirit, but we can clearly see in the above verse that only Jesus received these seven spirits as also in Rev 1:4. These are the seven spirits of God's Holy Spirit that gives us wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord. These are not fruits, but of what God gave to Jesus for the church to stand in unity of the truth of His word as we take the Gospel out into the world.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

The above in Galatians are the fruits of the Spirit that we are to be displaying to others as being the light of Christ shining through us that they will see Christ in us.
