... I have no idea why we picture Christ the way we do today. And I believe Satan is depicted far and away from what he may really appear to be. He's supposed to have been a very beautiful angel and it fits really. Temptation is very alluring and not ugly at all.

LOL, blame western European artists for their non-Jewish looking depictions of Jesus and others from that Biblical time. Experts say Rembrandt, more than any, brough out the "Jewishness" of Jesus' time.

Also, blame Danrte for the images of Satan we now have. 8-)
