God does not love all people

If he loved EVERYONE then why does he say very plainly in Romans 9:13 :As it is written, Jacob have I loved But Esau have I hated" And don't try to say this means Easu he loved less.........Won't work.Doesn't say that. God states PLAINY Esau I HATED. Can't be changed or manipulated to say anything else. ESAU I HATED

So now when you say God loves everyone, I guess you mean everyone but Esau?
Trouble is there are many others he uses too. Did God love Judas, and give him eternal life. . And in Jude who are the ones he speaks of in verse 4. "For certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ORDAINED to this condemnation, UNGODLY MEN, turning the grace of God into lasciviousness and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord God".......Jude 4. Did God love these men?

Continuing in Jude............Verse 8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise, dominion and speak evil of dignities.

Verse 11 Woe unto them...............

In fact most of the book of Jude talks about these ORDAINED men.

When you read Scriptures I am always amazed when someone says God love ALL people, equally and alike. Scriptures say otherwise.

Christ does not pray for all men in John 17:9 and 20. If he did NONE would perish.
The Holy spirit is not trying to save all sinners. If he were all would be saved.
God IS God and does with his creation as he pleases. We are the clay in the potters hand to make into vessels as he wills and who are we to replay to God. Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it why has thou made me thus. Romans 9:20

Did God love Pharoah?
Did God love those people who perished in the great flood.
Did God love korah, and Dathan and Abiram in Numbers 16:32

Now this is a long post and I am so often called a Calvinite. I am not, I simply put forth what the scriptures say..........EASU I HATED.

This is not intended to stir trouble. Just being truthfull to Scriptures. Take it as you will. Let men deny it as they will and let them denouce me for saying it if that gives them pleasure, But the God of the Bible DOES distinguish between men and he HAS saved a people for himself as he wills. I often wonder why so many people today reject such God Glorifing and wonderfull truths.

Woe is me if I don't preach his word truthfully. God bless you all who are his. I hope ALL are who use this site. May god bless you as only he can do.:)

PS..........Be civil if you disagree and quote scriptures to support what you say.

It was not done capriciously; God did not indiscriminately love Jacob, nor did he indiscriminately hate Esau; both passions, love and hate, were based on the attitudes of both men toward God.

Is it safe to say God hates SIN and not the person. What was Esau's sin towards God, and why didn't Esau repent. Blessings.

based on the attitudes of both men toward God.

For the children being NOT YET BORN, neither having done any good or evil that the purpose of God according election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth..........Romans 9:11 Esau and Jacob were not born yet................. How can they have attitudes toward God.
This was the pupose of God acording to election
Blessing to you................................

What was Esau's sin towards God, and why didn't Esau repent. Blessings.

For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works nut of him that calleth.......Romans 9:11

It was God's purpose to love the one and hate the other. They weren't even born yet...........Esau had no sin nor choice but was used by a Holy God for his own purpose.

Is it safe to say God hates SIN and not the person. What was Esau's sin towards God, and why didn't Esau repent. Blessings.

It's NOT safe to say God God hates sin, not the person. God does hate sin and he also plainly stated he hated Esua and this before he was Born.

josefnospam But what's the purpose of God's hatred towards Esau before he was even born? What did he do wrong. WHY did God hate him. I don't understand.

Just as it is written, "JACOB I LOVED, BUT ESAU I HATED." 14What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! 15For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION."… Romans 9:14-15 NASB

There is no unrighteousness with God, Who, through foreknowledge, sees the attitude of both these boys and judges accordingly. God has Mercy and Compassion on those who meet his Condition.

But what's the purpose of God's hatred towards Esau before he was even born? What did he do wrong. WHY did God hate him. I don't understand.

Ahhhhhhhh...........A really good question. The purpose is that election might stand, not of works. Romans 9:11

Esau wasn't even born yet. God Choose him for his purpose.

Nay but, O man who art thou that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed him why hast thou made me thus.
Romans 9:20 read 22 thru 24

Such a good question.....................God choose some men to election and he choose others to use for his purpose and so many people today want to say man has a will to choose....................Not so...It is God that chooses and makes us the clay unto vessels as he wants............Thank you for such questions. I hope you are one of his choosen, blood bought children..............God bless you as only he can do.:yes

See Malachi 1 NIV for more information.

The KJV say "I have Loved you, saith the Lord. yet ye say, wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacobs brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob."
Verse 3 ...."And I hated Esau and laid waste his..............."

These are great verses..............Thanks

This thread is yet another perfect example of ignoring the mystery pertaining to Israel and becoming wise in our own conceits...

Jacob is Israel..

The Lord chose Israel (Jacob) before they were born.. This has absolutely nothing to do with salvation and everything to do with the nation of Israel, as does all of Romans chapters 9-11.

If you'd like to hear what the Apostle to the Gentiles says concerning salvation in the epistle to the Romans, then read chapter 10 where he clearly teaches that whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord shall be saved.

Confusing Romans 9 with salvation is often a young Christian's error, especially when men teach them that election is about themselves rather than the infinitely glorious Christ Jesus...

The Apostle to the Gentiles is going to make it perfectly clear in the next chapters that ignoring the mystery pertaining to Israel will surely result in one thing..

Becoming wise in your own conceits...

IMO this thread makes that perfectly obvious.

It results in some saying that God doesn't love all people...

Is this what the Holy Spirit teaches the body of Christ ?

To speak with this type of conceit toward other men in Adam, knowing that we are all in the same condition before a perfectly Holy and righteous Saviour...?

The whole Bible is about Jesus Christ and his Salvation plan for his people. You cannot isolate a book, passage, or verse and say it somehow does not go with the rest of the scriptures. ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproff. for correction, for instuction in Rightousness...................2 Tim 2:16 And the election of grace is is such a wonderfull doctrine......Even so at this present time also there is an election according to grace................Romans 11:5 And once anyone comes to God by his spirit we give Him all the honor, glory and praise due his name.

This is what happens when men listen to men and embrace the false teaching of election being about themselves...

Without ever mentioning the one who truly is His elect, in whom the Father delights.

False teaching eliminates Christ from the picture and inserts condemned men in the first Adam as God's delight..

Time to rethink where all of this nonsense is leading you brother.
