Good point. Did you see Lewis' thread about atheists claiming that the Ten Commandments are a violation of the constitution?

People, Lost people, truly need a witness but 98% of the membership is just that, members, not servant and not saved. We are near the Tribulation.
 
I know it's hurtful when we hear people like Bill Maher say some of the things they say and their audiences laugh with delight, but be encouraged. It's obvious Bill Mahur does not understand God. He is however, reflecting on what he thinks he does understand, and we can use that to build a dialog with others.

Pray for Bill Maher, not that his mouth should be closed, but his eyes opened. Keep in mind that we are to Love those that hate us.

Not speaking of end times here, but I believe we are entering a time where the church will be tested and corrected. Brought back in line with Gods word. I believe God is allowing this slow rise of persecution of His church in these days in order to separate the wheat from the chaff.

To me, the church has once again prostituted herself so much to the point where we are failing to be effective once again. So much so, that we should ask, is it any wonder why people like Bill Maher say and think what they do?

I sympathies with Bill Maher. I would ask that we all try to do the same. To show him some compassion, some mercy for what he says. There is a reason why, and he does have an audience. If we are going to say we have faith in Christ and be effective for Christ we need to let Christ be there for the world though us, instead of fighting the world in the name of Christ. The true test of anyone's faith will come from who will stand for Christ in love, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, gentleness when other will not. The meek will inherit the earth.

The time is coming that anyone that "gets caught" associating with God and His people will each and everyone of us be considered psychotic murderers.. hate crime laws are being written as we speak it will be those peace loving Muslims that will save the day by executing us.. Sound farfetched.. :wave

Not unless you murder someone.

The Supreme Court ruled that WBC were within their rights under the constitution to say whatever they wanted, basically. Speak is not considered a hate crime.

So what hate crime are Christians going to be charged with?

I can say that unless im asked by a gay member of the service I cant dress them down like I can with a beer drinker. I can ask those to be careful and to quit drinking. I can ban them from drinking beer at times, while on duty or off duty. but with the lbgt I cant do anysuch thing. I understand the reg, but its a bit odd. I can see why the army did that but really it is a risky behavior that due to pc is ignored. when I was cleared of ptsd one of the questions was are you a homosexual. it was under the section of risky behavior. which included, promiscuity, drug use, alcohol abuse.

So the rules are different depending on sexual preferences? Are the rules actually written up that way or is this something they are making up in order to keep the peace.
That's like giving in a spoiled child because you don't want to deal with their temper tantrums.

Gods ways are high above our ways but to those who are perishing...they're madness. The fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom. Bill obviously does not believe that he will some day meet his creator and be held accountable for every word and soul that he has lead astray. It is hard for someone who does not believe in an omnipotent creator to think he has to respect or indeed fear that being.

The best you can do is spread the Gospel and let the Holy Spirit do his work. Pray that Bill will have a felt need for God and cry out to him for forgiveness and salvation.

the rules are that way. that is what the chaplain told me. I would have to ask him when I see him. theres also the idea fact that Christian groups have been targeted by the leadership then forced to retract. not that its the army hq doing it but persons in key positions doing it. it so far hasn't been army policy, however, nothing of this was sort was under Bush, Clinton, Bush sr. I joined under Bush sr.

TOB is commenting on the Laws that are being complied, in Congress, against Christians teaching the truth, much like but stricter and harsher than the Canadian laws.

I would think the rules are the same for everyone. If this was the chaplain that was telling you this he may be trying to minister to some of them that self-medicate with alcohol, so he doesn't want too much pressure put on them because they are fragile. ?

It takes a careful examination but this in line with my comment above. The Active Homosexual has always been in the Military but Obama's Political Agenda has cracked the door to them converting the troops, even though they recognize the behavior is less than desirable for the military.

The Agenda of the Radical Homosexual Movement has not changed from the days in the late sixties when they burst into Church services slinging used condoms and screaming they wanted our sons. This was not and is not a popular discussion but yes, they do not want just to be accepted.

This is not a blanket statement from a radical Christian. Over the years I have had and presently do have some very well mannered Homosexual friends, male and female. But there is still the radical element and it is they that fight so hard for these things to insure their agenda.
