God is taking what's human to us ?

Bible teaches we're not going to get married in heaven neither we will have kids, it takes what's human from us, if we didn't marry in heaven.
They said, Jesus was clear on it, and no speculation is allowed, to twist, like we're going to have children (etc.. human trying to justify what God meant by saying something..

If we didn't marry, then it means God's initial plan for man and woman to be married was flawed ???
If we didn't marry, then it means we don't feel attraction to other, we feel no need to interact with others.

There won't be gender in heaven ?? Gender is what's making our personality. You can't just strip male of his masculinity and female of her femininity.

Or is it... Bible wrong again, and we need to come up with our interpretation (excuses to justify our twisted need to control other people)

Could it be when we are in heaven we will no longer have fleshly/earthly desires but our desires will be heavenly desires ?
Philippians 3
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Hey All,
Or maybe there is something better than marriage in heaven.

Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,

Is heaven supposed to be about us or God?

If our interpretation says God is making a mistake or is wrong then the problem is with us and our preconceived ideas.

??? Biological reproduction is what makes us human? Says who? God doesn't say this, that's for sure.

Having children isn't necessary for those who can never die. And whether we can or not in eternity has no bearing on whether or not God can create more beings whenever He likes. There is, then, no need for us, in eternity, to be capable of sexual interactions, the root purpose of which is to produce more human beings.

I have fast friendships with people in whom I have no sexual interest whatsoever. You don't? That's...very sad and very strange. Sex is by no means the sole, or primary, basis for friendship and fellowship with others. Any married person can tell you that if there isn't much more than sex that binds a man and woman to one another in marriage, their marriage is doomed to dissolution. Sex actually constitutes a very small portion of married life and so, simply can't be the root reason a couple marries.

You don't seem to understand what heaven is about. Our gender is related to our physical being and the need to produce the next generation of human beings. In heaven, such reproduction is unnecessary and so the sexes are unnecessary. Does this mean we lose an essential feature of ourselves? No. We are not our bodies; our bodies merely house who we really are, our immaterial and eternal soul. In the afterlife, we will one day receive a glorified body that is better suited to an eternal, supernatural existence than our present one. We aren't told much about this glorified body in the Bible except that it will not be susceptible to the sin-corruption and death to which our present, temporal bodies are.

No, you are wrong, not understanding God's word.

I think scripture states that we become like angels(whats an angel?),I think it's in Matthew.Marriage requires gender, the church is the bride of Christ.Gender(who we are) establishes our personal relationship with God.Jesus did not loose his gender after his

Matthew 17:3-4 states that Moses and Elijah were fully regnonizable on the "Other Side",that probably is an indication that they retained their gender???????????.

“One point must be touched on because, though I kept silence, it would none the less be present in most readers’ minds. The letter and spirit of scripture, and of all Christianity, forbid us to suppose that life in the New Creation will be a sexual life; and this reduces our imagination to the withering alternative either of bodies which are hardly recognisable as human bodies at all or else of a perpetual fast. As regards the fast, I think our present outlook might be like that of a small boy who, on being told that the sexual act was the highest bodily pleasure, should immediately ask whether you ate chocolates at the same time. On receiving the answer ‘No,’ he might regard absence of chocolates as the chief characteristic of sexuality. In vain would you tell him that the reason why lovers in their carnal raptures don’t bother about chocolates is that they have something better to think of. The boy knows chocolate: he does not know the positive thing that excludes it. We are in the same position. We know the sexual life; we do not know, except in glimpses, the other thing which, in heaven, will leave no room for it. Hence where fulness awaits us we anticipate fasting. In denying that sexual life, as we now understand it, makes any part of the final beatitude, it is not of course necessary to suppose that the distinction of sexes will disappear. What is no longer needed for biological purposes may be expected to survive for splendour. Sexuality is the instrument both of virginity and of conjugal virtue; neither men nor women will be asked to throw away weapons they have used victoriously. It is the beaten and the fugitives who throw away their swords. The conquerors sheathe theirs and retain them. ‘Trans-sexual’ would be a better word than ‘sexless’ for the heavenly life.” (C S Lewis’ Miracles, 1947:165-6)

The population cycle—no more a flawed design than a chrysalis stage or a building stage is flawed—will have reached its fulfilment, and mortal biology redeemed will have become immortal biology with a far fuller life & vision, the whole universe to roam at will and enjoy. As C S Lewis notes (The Four Loves), human loves can become demonic if not submitted to love itself (ie God), but it does come in other ways that man/woman love (Eros) & sex (Venus). Eg friendship & affection (φιλια/στοργη). While lower level loves (often petty & selfish) will be swallowed up in fulness (completion), our loves for God’s creation (including fellow humanity) will be far wider & deeper. The serious business of heaven is joy.

Gender will be in heaven, since all gender resides in God and we are in his image. As C S Lewis said (That Hideous Strength), as mortals we can potentially escape sex (the male/female) but we can’t escape gender (the masculine/feminine).

So far as we know, all angels are masculine (not male, a biological shaping). Of course, it could be that only the military/masculine side of the angels interact with our fallen world—except in some Christmas plays.

Redemption is an act and a process wherein we become more human than were Adam/Eve. The next stage in our evolution will perfect it.

I’m unaware of the Bible ever being wrong, but maybe I’m wrong about that.

addonai I present these scriptures to show we will not be in human form with human functions as we have now as this flesh and blood body will be changed into a new Spiritual body like that of Christ glorified body, but we do not know what that will look like, but will be like the angels of heaven.

Mat 22:23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
Mat 22:24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
Mat 22:25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
Mat 22:26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
Mat 22:27 And last of all the woman died also.
Mat 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Mat 22:31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
Mat 22:33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

1Cor 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Cor 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
1Cor 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1Cor 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Php 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Php 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Hi addonai

I don't agree that your arguments are logically correct. For example, you seem to assume that if there's no marriage in the eternal life that God somehow made a mistake in instituting marriage in this existence. Why? I mean really, how is that a logically derived conclusion? You seem to be wanting to arrive at answers that are not supported by the facts of your claims.

God bless,
Ted
