Why do we call God, God, when God doesn't have a name?
I guess it's just a reference.
Many how many labels but not a name does God have?
I mean could say
The Way said...
The Truth said...
The he is just who he is said...
The Spirit of Life said...
I don't know. With a name above all names there is no name.
Oh yeah. The Father.
God cannot have a name because God is just God. More worthy than a name.
Elohim, El Shaddai, El Elyon, El Olam etc etc.
Don't know why on earth you'd even suggest that God doesn't have a name.
Names which references various characteristics and attributes. Names mean something, try to learn what a name means.
A superficial understanding of anything surfaces on the label and not what is underneath. Therefore consider what a label or name means.
Obviously, you're making a point out of guessing.
A title given to One Person in the Triune God that only His children have the right to call Him by. Invoking the name Father should position us as His children, settling our relationship to Him.
Then you're going to have to disregard Scripture. If so, at least admit that your God is not the God of Scripture. The God of the Scriptures is defined by His characteristics and attributes. Just because someone suggests that Allah is God does not mean Allah is the God of Scripture.
So God has many names then. I mean more like not a single name as in God. Some call him Elohim some call him The Father some call him I Am some call him whatever else. Someomw could say "The Truth said" and still be referring to God.
Edit. To make it easier, what is God's name?
And it means all three tenses of "I Am" at the same time.God does have a Name: Yahweh....yod,hay,waw,hay....YHWH.
That reminded me of WWE's introduction sequence. And it means all three tenses of "I Am" at the same time.
Which is a tense that doesn't exist in English.
I Have Been
I Am
I Will Be
