God's Glory.

What's God's Glory? It seems there's no straight-forward interpretation to it. Just like trying to define philosophy and saying 'the' definition....

Just a thought, but 1 Cor 11:7 says the glory of a man is his woman, and Eph 5:32 says the Church is Christ's wife..... Perhaps not a definite answer, but certainly one to connect the dots and consider.

A definition for glory? When God says He deserves all glory, it is usually coupled with the word "honor" too. Let's say for instance, I were to pray over somebody and they got healed from their sickness. God deserves all the glory, because it was His doing. First, His creation and now His touch of healing; not mine.

The word honor, in many verses is also referring to finically providing. Just like the Levites who were to be set apart and honored, so that they could be full time priests for God in the tabernacle. Another part of the Bible also talks about honoring our pastors.

To give glory means to give respect where it's due. Appreciation because without Him nothing is possible. How could I have glory in a soccer game if I kicked the winning shot but everybody else says it was the teammate standing next to me? Likewise, God would get jealous.

Perfect illustration with soccer.

I think the word 'glory' has many different meaning. E.g the Glory of God fills this place. What is that Glory? You can see there are many things to consider.
