God's Jealousy

At most times when we are sick we abandon God and seek help from our doctors first. Some take drugs and refuse to pray, some visit their doctors etc.

Some face big troubles and seek for human assistance and deliverance. They have forgotten their Maker.

All these can really make God angry and jealous.

A jealous man would always not want to help that person who refused to consult him first. Can God do the same? Can HE at times choose to ignore us when our own measures fail us, (when we suddenly remember HIM)???

I'm guilty too. At times I feel shy going back to HIM. I could have gone to HIM first.

This reminds me of one of our lecturers a million years ago, a very jealous man that refused to attend to people who refused to consult him first. There were two of them in one office. So students always went to meet with the more friendly lecturer. At the end one table had several students seeking attention. Some impatiently left the table and went to talk to the other man who always said: 'Go back to him. Why are you here. Let him help you.' :bigfrown
