2011 was one of the worst years of my life. After 35 years as a church minister, my father left the church, left my mom for a younger woman, and disowned me along with all my brothers and sisters. On top of that, I volunteered as board of director at a non-profit organization, and we've dealt with a difficult guy for the last two years and he finally decided to sue our organization. That on top of other things that happened this year, I am thankful I am still alive. God has truly watched over me. I just hope 2012 brings better things. God bless all of you out there so that you never have to go through what I went through this year.

I'm sorry things went very badly for you this year, especially regarding your father. This year was a bad year for me as well considering I was seriously ill. I hope you see when the fire is the greatest, God is doing His special work in you. The greatest trials will do the greatest work in your faith even as unpleasant, and horrible as they feel.

It's hard to say what 2012 will bring, but we do know we have a God that watches out for us and will never give us more than we can handle. Where we are weak God is our strength, when we fear God is our shadow to hide under his wings. Life is good if we allow it to be as those things that come against us are those things which should be making us strong to endure until the end. I pray we all have a good new year and praise the Lord in the good times and praise him even more through the bad. Praise the name of the Lord.
