*sigh* It happens by the thousands per hour online, just never thought it would happen to me. I tried to make an honest sale and even spoke with the buyer over the 'phone. He tricked me into "selling" him a laptop. Long story short, I am without my laptop and the amount of money I was selling it for, plus an additional amount the guy begged me for because he said he needed it for additional expenses. :/

I feel really stupid, but I'm trying to get him to send me my laptop back. I don't want a big deal or the law involved. As per usual, I have no money. This is partly why I fell so quickly for the guy leaping at the chance to buy from me. I lost approximately $1000 dollars and now I'm worried I won't be able to make all ends meet.

Please pray for me... I'll forgive this person eventually and move on, but this sucks. :(

I would not feel that stupid. This happens to people all the time, even the smartest of people. I'm sorry you are out so much money. We got suckered a while back out of some money. You feel stupid and violated. These people are very slick and know what they are doing. I will keep you in my prayers.

Would it be a good idea to give some detail so others may be spared of this?
Personally, I've never heard of this and don't really understand.
If it's personal, forget it!

Wondering

I'm afraid details wouldn't helpful to the majority of posters here, as I'm South-African, but it was an online scam where someone offered to buy a laptop from me and because he scammed me into believing he'd already paid me, I sent the item off and the guy's been outed as a fake persona somewhere else on the Net.

Thanks AAU
I'm afraid of the internet anyway, so I THINK I'm safe.
I use Amazon and that's about it.
Thanks for replying.
But don't think nothing has happened to me. I got a ransomeware bug about two years ago.
That was fun. It was like my home being broken into. I'd like to forget it.
I keep my computer closed most of the time now.
