Friends,
My only surviving grandmother (and adoptive mother) is in hospital with an infection that we don't yet know much about. We had to summon an ambulance two nights ago to take her to the ER, as she couldn't stop vomiting, belching, etc. She is 81 years old and an Alzheimer's sufferer.
There's been tremendous support from family and friends, but it's hard on me (she's the only mother I ever knew) and it's hard on my granddad, her faithful husband of almost 60 years, who is 84 and walks with difficulty. Our minister will visit or has already visited her. Prayers are going around, I know, but I have problems with separation anxiety. I feel very alone. I know people have their lives to live and can't pay attention to me 24/7, but I quickly feel like I'm being ignored when people don't do just that... Childhood issues, whatever, this is not about me.
Please keep the family in your prayers... Blessings.
