she's my dad's aunt. i think she's in her late 80s, great aunt annette. she's had a stroke, and i have a sense that...this may well be the end of her time here on earth, or...very close to it.

as best i know, she's a christian. most of that generation on my dad's side were/are -very- active in church, strong families, etc.

please pray for her, and my dad, too. Thanks. :-)

thanks, eugene. its one of those things...don't get me wrong; i would not want anyone to have a stroke, ever, and i feel badly for great aunt annette. but, from my perspective...well, she's another person of that generation in my dad's family who will soon be leaving us. my dad's tough and all, but...i think it gets to him. not only is most of that generation gone, but the community has changed, society has changed, and...ugh. "things fall apart," I guess.

thanks again. :-)

thanks for the replies+prayers. I don't have an update, sadly. I kind of want to ask my dad, but then I think maybe I'd better not. I really don't know. I am fairly certain she is/was saved and active in her church, and she certainly led a good life.

sad news: my great aunt, annette, has died. Her funeral was actually yesterday. Thanks for the prayers. :-)

thanks. again, horrible as this may sound...I really feel badly for my dad. his parents are gone, and so are most of the family of their generation. after (great) aunt annette, that doesn't leave many people of that generation in the family. she lived to be in her late 80s, was an active Christian, had a good life. I don't wish a stroke on anyone, but...death is an inevitable part of life, and she had a full, meaningful, productive life.

thanks again. :-)
