Greetings Christian Forums

Hello to all the brethren, the Admin, and Mod's. :wave My user name is from Rev.2:17, not that I hold the doctrine of Balaam or anything like that. I consider myself an independant, I don't belong to any denomination but was raised Catholic. I study from time to time with a few friends across the nation and also fellowship with my family members (who are all Catholic) I've always believed in Jesus Christ as long as I can remember thanks to my Mom who had us pray before we went to sleep every night. Nick, I think the SoF is well written. Thanks for the welcome and God bless.

Hello! I'm Steve! Glad you're here! You're history reminds me much of mine. I was also raised Catholic, but never felt any real connection to their rules/ideology. I've tried many different christian religions and was never able to find one that truly matched my understanding of God. Now I'm learning to love the church I'm at and to work within it rather than always leaving it for another.

What do you think keeps you from aligning yourself with any one religion?

God bless you!

Steve

I used to pick and gather white stones (and other colors) when I was a kid. I liked them a lot and still do like stones this day. (I don't throw them at people)

Welcome to the Forums:wave

Thanks everyone. I look forward to the fellowship.

Mike, I like what you said about Just align yourself with Christ. That in itself should lead us to the Truth and rightly dividing the Word. Not that I have all the right answers, I know I don't but I do try real hard to get it right.

Steve, simply put, I guess I wanted to know what the scriptures said for myself. Loving God through Christ has been a way of life to me. 'Religion', to me, is what the Holy Spirit through James says at the end of the first chapter, to the spiritual sense and planting seeds, but also to the charity sense.

God bless. I look forward to the fellowship.

Forget about aligning yourself with any one religion. Just align yourself with Christ, and that will lead to being a Christian in its truest sense.

Superb!:thumbsup
And Christ would afterwards direct a person to the right place.

Welcome! :wave

Thanks but I didn't write the SoF. It was a past staff member. I helped write the ToS though. :shrug
