Hi there.
I was looking for a Christian Forum where religion wasn’t based on fear and guilt, but rather on love, caring and hope. What a pleasure! You all seem like lovely people.

I’m from South Africa - a third world country at the bottom of the African continent. We are currently hosting the Soccer World Cup, and it is amazing how the Lord uses this opportunity for Christians to reach people who are normally trapped behind the Iron Curtain. There are so many Christians who came just to bring some relief and encouragement to the needy. People here often loose hope because of the high crime rate (unfortunately, violent crimes), corruption and poverty, so it’s amazing how the Lord can work his miracles even in these conditions.

Thank you for the warm greetings! (Saying that in my most wicked accent) :rolling . We have 11 official langues here, each with its own wicked accent. My mother tongue is Afrikaans (something similar to Dutch), so you will have to excuse my English. I still battle with my tenses and grammar.

You will be hearing a lot from me because I have so much to learn still. I became a born again Christian recently (about two year ago) and all I can say is; WOW! God has been so good to me that I can't describe it verbally.
