Greetings I'm from Earth

I've been searching my whole life for answers when I didn't even understand the full question. I am sad and lonely and alone all by my own making. I lied and lied and lied some more, knowingly, unknowingly whatever my justification the result was the same. I'm here because of myself.

O and hello. I'm looking forward to meeting people here and exchanging ideas and learning.

I wrote my hello that way in hopes of symbolizing the events at my life right now and using this as a point to reflect upon my life from here on.

Hi Paradox.

We all make mistakes but God's grace is amazing! I actually relate to what you posted. I gave a lot of thought today about my life before I came to Christ. I did a lot of things that I'm not proud of.

I hope you will find peace soon. ;)

Thank you both for replying.

I had a busy week and just now have the time to get back on here. Since writing that things are getting better. I feel better that's for sure it's like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders.

I know I have a long path or a short path to happiness, both are my choosing.

Thanks again for the replies, and yes we are all liars. I'm happy I finally got to the point where I quit digging such a deep hole.

Hi!

You said you didn't even quiet know the question!

One of the most common, and most misconstrued and vital subjects to understand is 'sin', hence the question... "What is sin?" May I try to explain.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. I JOHN 3:9

People believe that 'sin' is living in a manner unbecoming to God. But, it isn't really so. The high priests of the Old Testement were rebuked by Jesus and told that they would die in their sin. These were righteous, sincers and devout men who lived every minute of every day seeking to please God. No smoking, drinking jiving and / or blah, blah, blah! Those are attributes of sin! Men, (and women) do those things because they don't believe.

What the high priests of the Old Testement were guilty of was that they denied the Word when they were presented with it. Jesus tried most unsuccessfully to explain it to them but they couldn't see it because of pride and status and titles; all of which God used to blind them. He had never forgiven them for taking wives from among the Amorites and allowing them to marry their women; on their way from the Wilderness to the Promised Land.

The question is this, "Do you believe or do you disbelieve the Word of God as it is 'revealed' to you; the Bible?" MATTHEW 16:17-19.

In this world there are three kinds of believers and they are... BELIEVERS, MAKE-BELIEVERS AND UNBELIEVERS.
Believers have their names in the Lamb's book of life and therefore are eternal - they were with God in His thoughts before the foundations of the world that is why He was able to write their names in the Lamb's Book of Life. EPHESIANS 1:4-5 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Make-believers receive the Word, (Jesus) as their saviour and come to the judgement throne to be judged; and based upon their testimony receive everlasting life.

The unbeliever just doesn't believe and therefore they are sinners and the penalty for sin is death; total and permanent separation from God... their souls will be burned in the Lake of Spiritual Fire until there is nothing left.

Jesus has paid for your sin. He, as the sacrificial Lamb is the propitiation for the sin you inherited from Eve. I TIMOTHY 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. From now, you may trip and fall. That just means that you were again tricked but the enemy and failed. So what. Get up, dust yourself off and call to God in repentance and ask for His forgiveness and strength and guidancy to overcome the snares of the Devil. What you need is to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit... He whispers in a still small voice... the Word of God.

The Word teaches us to rejoice in our trials. God uses the enemy to try us while He watches to see if we overcome or not. The Holy Ghost is our Tutor and He reports your progress to the Jesus who symbolically speaking is seated on the mercy seat interceding for you.

MARK 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

EPHESIANS 6:11-13 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

JOHN 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Satan likes to divide and conquer. He will isolate you and then rob you of your salvation by lying to you; saying that you are a sinner. You're not a sinner... you're a believer and NEVER FORGET THAT.

If you haven't invited Jesus into your heart, then do so ASAP. That initiates your 'New Birth'. Thats the beginning of your sojourn. Thereafter you need to identify yourself as a Christian outwardly in Christian Baptism... See how the apostles and Paul did it in the Book of Acts and have someone do it for you in exactly the same manner. Then bang on Heaven's door until God seals your soul with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. EPHESIANS 4:30

Go praising. Find some soft gospel music like the 'Praise' CD's by the 'Maranatha singers' to listen to. That will drive Satan mad! Just listen to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit for guidance.

With blessings.

Bernard
