Dreams can minister great things to people, as well as to the body of Christ at large. They are the Spirit of God revealing things to us which, when properly interpreted, can reveal the plans of God and/ or expose the plans of the enemy. But as such, there is the potential for pride to creep in. The more we are used, the greater the temptation can be to think we are some great vessel of God, especially if the enemy specifically targets us to be overcome by a spirit of pride.
The following dream came back to mind because a friend posted one with a similar theme just recently. The driving point is that demonic spirits can ruin us as vessels of of the Lord if they can contaminate us through pride. It ruins the beauty of what we are in Christ if we take glory upon ourselves, thinking we were something when we were really only vessels the Lord was using and nothing more. Like instruments God intends to create beautiful sounds through, we can become corrupted if evil spirits bore holes through our spiritual attractiveness, and render us unusable because of an air of self-importance.

I am working in a music store and we have many nice new electric guitars. But these black wasps are drilling holes into the guitar bodies and the wasps leave this goopy looking substance that dries and hardens next to the holes, just a mess. It looked like a mixture of the paint and wood from the guitar with clear goop mixed in, and it was stuck to the guitar pretty good but it would come off using my thumbnail. Most of guitars had at least 3 or 4 holes in them made by the wasps. No used guitars, they were all new ones. A customer come in to look at the guitars and I complained about the wasps and said, "The boss comes in the store and walks right by the guitars and does not even look at the wasp damage!" I take a guitar off the rack to show the customer but I have to take my thumbnail and get the dried wasp goop off the guitar first. The customer left without buying a guitar. I pickup a nice bright yellow guitar with a wide flat neck and think "What a nice guitar. if only the wasps had not drilled holes in it."
I am now outside bringing the guitars out on the sidewalk for a display, as I bring the first guitar outside a couple of wasps are hitting me on the face and arm, and I shew them away with my free arm. The next guitar I bring out it there are a least four wasps bothering me in the same way as before. The next guitar I bring out the wasps are now about eight in number and even more bothersome. The next guitar I bring out and the wasps are going crazy and swarming, and at least a dozen wasps are hitting all over, and finally one of them stings me right in the middle of my back. End of dream. I woke up right at end of dream with my heart going pretty good, fighting off wasps in your dream is hard work I guess, lol.

As an interpreter, I have to be careful about people who begin working with me steadily, not because they are bad people but because they may end up subjected to the temptations of pride, thinking they are someone great because they receive prophetic dreams. There is a specific breed if wasps called Digger Wasps which bore holes in things to nest and lay their eggs in, and the color black in dreams is nearly always symbolic of that which is evil, sinful or demonic.

The guitars here represent "instruments" (i.e. spiritual vessels) the Lord will use. But if they are susceptible to temptation, evil spirits can make a nest in them through pride and a sense of self-importance. I saw this happen 6-7 years ago. I became friends with this guy who was autistic, and he struggled with pride and a bad temper. And another friend told me after I had interpreted a few dreams for him that he had said to her, "We must be prophets then." In other words, the Lord sent him a few dreams and he was already going off the deep end into thinking he was now "a prophet."
The reason why "the boss overlooks it" in this dream is because the Lord LIKES giving people dreams. It gives them the chance to be used by Him, only it's supposed to bring encouragement that He is using them, not fill them with pride that they then take upon themselves. It's supposed to offer them a form of ministry, only He won't be able to continue using them if they let pride "make a nest." It will actually deter the onlooker, and cause them to turn away (i.e. "not 'buy' the human instrument and what they are saying) if they can see pride manifesting through the person.
"New" guitars I think represents that these will be new believers who will be coming to Christ in the years ahead, to whom operating in the prophetic will be a new experience. But they will need to remain humble. Pride and presumption will destroy their attractiveness as vessels of the Lord Jesus Christ.
