Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!!! Gobble Gobble

Would you believe that our local school district does not allow our children to be taught about Thanksgiving? Some Christian teachers do it anyhow. But rarely do you see little kids with colored turkeys or pilgrim hats. One Jewish father was astounded. I told him that at least they could teach the kids what it means to be thankful, even if they did go so far as to mention God. No wonder we are told that in the last days children would be ungrateful.

But wishing you blessings on this day of Thanksgiving.

yah know i think i will post what that is, i have it on power point. the entire history of that and points i took to use for the kids at church on the puritans and what they were.

Thats a good point! I'm surprised you can't teach Thanksgiving there. I would have never thought it since you're in the USA.

Why are Canadians eating turkey on their T-day, lol?

My sister lives in Alaska. Caribou is good eating, they say. Everybody there has to bag a moose or a caribou to make it through the winter. If someone doesn't get one for the winter, and another family has two, they give the extra one to the family that doesn't have one. It's interesting how survival brings the worst...and the best...out of mankind.

Jethro:

Alaska...sounds good. (Alaskan and Yukon moose ought to stick together...)
