Harvest Party Stand-In Thing

I've been asked to make a Harvest Party Stand-In thing for kids at a church's harvest party.. but theres one problem, I don't know what might go on at a harvest party.. or what might be inappropriate.

If you don't know what a stand-in is.. it's this: http://operationsanta.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/9WEB1046-300x300.jpg

I'd like to do something like it, the same palette of colors.. but I'd also like to make it my own so I'm not just stealing someone elses project.

What would help is if you could name certain things that would be at a harvest party. Like, scarecrows, pumpkins..

I think back to my childhood and remember being dressed up as Moses and being forced to do a play on Halloween. :sad no fun.

We'va always taken our kids to a harvest party. It's not our church that holds it. It's another church in their school's gym. They've always elected to go to this party instead of hitting the heighborhood.

I don't know what kind of budget you're working with, but some of the things they like are:

Moonwalk type rides
Games (knocking down things)
Face painting
Bible Bingo
Pizza, pop, snacks

They win candy as they play.

That's just a few ideas that seem to work. I'm away from my pc, on my phone, so I didn't click on your link.

Hope this helps!

- riding on a hay ride?
- holding a pumpkin?
- pumpkin field

i think you're safe with all things autumn. even if you chose not to do a harvest theme at all. like princesses for girls and football players for boys. the kids will love anything entertaining! their kids. the easiest people in the world to appease
