Has a science teacher ever told you that you came from an ape?

that's why i like bannana's and have five plankton banana trees and counting :biglol

Everyone keeps laughing at the Barbarian, but he's right. We are of the Ape family. We have opposable thumbs, no tails, etc. These are all ape characteristics.

And to answer the OP, no, a science teacher has never told me I came from an Ape. If they had I would have questioned their ability to teach science as they'd most certainly be wrong.

I disagree, a few close characterisctics does not make me a descendant

Phyllomedusa, Possums and Koalas all have apposable thumbs. And we do have tail bones.

Not saying it never happened, but I disagree with the premises of your statement.

I have. I've been told by teachers that I am a descendant from ape, lots of times actually; couple times a year.

You're right about a few bits of evidence being insufficient. However, there is anatomical, fossil, biochemical, and genetic data showing we have a close common ancestor with other apes. Would you like to learn about it?

We are apes. Even the creationist Linneaus, who developed the modern system of classification, admitted that he should have classified humans as apes. The conflict depends on representing the chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans as apes, and hominids as non-apes.

First, I never said we were descended from Apes. We are not, not even from an evolutionary aspect. I said that we are apes. This is nothing to be ashamed of, there are many variations of the ape family and does not make us any less human any more so than calling a dog a canine would make that dog any less of a dog.

Second, what year did you attend high school? If it was recent, you should question your science teacher's ability to use his or her ability to read as information states that we do not come from apes. If we "came from" apes, there would be no apes today. Saying that we came from a primitive version of an ape might be closer to home but still very, very vague.

No wonder why everyone is going ape! :lol

There's no point in me taking you even remotely seriously. I already know your stance on evolution and it is a flawed one. You just don't understand it so you listen to what other people tell you about it and assume that to be fact over what science tells you. After reading your thread on Elephants and Hamsters, I've given up. Simple as that, I've given up.

Ya I give up as well. Evoltionists are perfect when it comes to science so no one dare mess with them. Those who don't believe in evolution are stupid people who don't understand science.

However, when we get to heaven. none of this will matter. :-)

But no one is going to sit there and say I an ape! That is a no no unless you want the Slayer Slam! :D

You are an ape. There. I just sat here and said that. So am I. I'm not calling you a monkey. I'm not calling you a chimpanzee. I'm not calling you a gorilla. I'm calling you a human.

I never called you stupid. But I did imply that you refused to listen to reason.
