Thanks for asking. My family and I are OK, but we have been without power for a week, until coming back on the other night. The house here and all around sustained minimal damage (virtually none) despite high winds. However, the trees all over the place fell on all the power lines just like last year's October Nor' easter. As a matter of fact, this storm came on the very day as last year, and in addition it was on my wife's birthday!

I got her a "strange" gift last year. It was 2 candles. To this very day that haunts me because we had two week-long power failures on her birthday. Last year and now this year. Premonition?

My oldest son lives in Long Island. His apartment had some siding torn off, but that was it. He actually had power restored before we did, but he said the gas lines were a mile long with shortages. He finally got gas about two days ago.

My younger son in Boston hardly felt anything, and the next day was sunny!

We then got hit a later with a Nor' easter. Fortunately, we only had some gusts of wind and a bit of snow. My older son in LI had some snow on his car, and my younger son in Boston had more snow, but it did not stick on the roads he said.

All in all, we were very fortunate as this was the biggest storm that one of our electric utilities said they had in their history, bigger than windy Hazel in 1955 and very rainy and flooded Agnes in 1972. This was a real mess!
