Have you ever accused anyone of antisemitism?

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, greetings in the most Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I'm posting this in a hopeful attempt to bring understanding and unity to the Body of Christ. I am not posting this as an indictment against those with whom I have disagreements, or to bring anyone over to my side.

Neither am I making this post to encourage debate, far from it. Debates on this topic will inevitably be divisive and unproductive, and in many cases devolve into harsh disagreement, even to the point of name calling and in some more extreme circumstances, the outright condemnation of anyone who disagrees. These things should not be.

Not all born again believers are Evangelicals. Not all born again believers are dispensational in thought. Not all born again believers are Zionists. Not all born again believers subscribe to the majority view that the people in the Middle East calling themselves Israel, are in fact Israel. Not all born again believers interpret scripture in the same way. But every born again believer is allowed to have a difference of opinion.

Unfortunately, being bold enough to state ones difference of opinion concerning these very important matters, often leads to some pretty nasty arguments and some even nastier accusations. Again, it should not be so with us. Those of us who name the name of Christ, are held to a higher standard.

I am of the opinion that most of these disagreements stem from a serious lack of understanding about what it is that subscribers to the minority view actually believe.

This post is a sincere attempt to inform those who subscribe to the majority view, just what it is that we on the other side actually believe and are attempting to communicate.

In most cases, not all of course, there are bad apples on both sides, we are not haters, we are not antisemitic, but motivated by our love for God, love for our brothers and sisters, and a sincere desire to serve the Body of Christ.

The following video is perhaps the best explanation of where many of us are coming from that I have yet to find on the interwebs. I'm not on board with every conclusion made by the presenters, but its an overall very solid explanation of where many of us on the other side are coming from.

Please prayerfully consider the information presented in the video. While it would be wonderful beyond measure to have my fellow brothers and sisters reconsider their position on this topic, that is not my intention. The intent of this post is to inform, not convert.

I sincerely believe that should a brother or sister take the time to let us speak, to actually listen to what it is we are trying to communicate, without presuming that they have us all figured out already, that the name calling will stop, the tension between both sides will drop, and actual conversations about these pivotal issues will be allowed to begin.

Its a rather long discussion, but it has to be, these are topics of tremendous depth and breadth, they cannot be covered in a sound bite or two. Maybe, just maybe we can all learn a little something from one another. At the very least, we might be able to put an end to the strife between us, which would please our Heavenly Father immensely, and glorify our Beloved Savior, while advancing His holy kingdom.

If you are unwilling to watch or listen, if you have no interest in learning what it is we actually believe versus what we are presumed to believe, then continue as you were. You'll hear no more from me.

This is not a debate thread, please do not attempt to turn it into one.

I have watched some, but not enough time to watch it all. Since you have, what lineage are they saying the inhabitants of current Israel are? Do they count them as Jews according to the Bible or no?

Blessings,

Sorry Bro, you're not getting off that easy. If you want to know where we're coming from just listen. There are no graphics that I'm aware of, its just a conversation between brothers. I listened to it this morning while puttering around in my storage. Take your time, we can discuss the presentation when and if you listen to it. Fair enough?

There's only so much time in the day, though I do understand about not taking short cuts. As a rule, however, on the forums the vast majority usually don't have three hours for watching a video. What they are looking for is to interact with the OP on a subject, since the OP has already taken the time to.

Anyway, to each his own. You might get a few takers.

Blessings,
- H

They don't have to watch it, they can listen. Everyone has time to listen. Most people these days, even Christians usually have some form of entertainment playing all day, and occasionally all night. Whether they will or not is another story. I'm not expecting much. I've extended the olive branch and made the information available. The rest is up to them.

Moreover, should I begin to interact on this topic while the other side is still clinging to their misconceptions, we're just gonna end up back at square one and the name calling and bickering begins all over again.

Send me a PM if you like brother. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have privately.
Something tells me that you and I could do so without argument, or any hard feelings.

Not here, no. That's just it. If they do, let me know.

I did get far enough to know they are not teaching Replacement Theology, but like I said, not enough time to listen.

No, we are not teaching replacement theology. Though that is one of the common allegations against us.

With respect I believe one has to be well versed in a topic before commanding an audience, you can't just say, "watch/read this".

Or else by that logic, what's the use of pastors who can just say, "Read the Bible" as a detour of not knowing how to break it down. Heck even outside ot the Bible When you write a literary paper, you have to have a thesis, then evidence, then a warrant/explanation of why the evidence matters, why we should care about it, what does it have to do with anything.

With respect, if you read the original post in its entirety, and understood it. You may have a different take. I understand my position quite well and have no trouble articulating it.

I made it quite clear that this is a broad topic that could not be adequately addressed in short order.

I also made it clear that I was not attempting to begin a debate thread, but posting for informational purposes. Additionally, I made the offer to address his question in a pm, for all of the reasons I previously stated.

Every time I have made an attempt to talk about these things in a public forum, I have been shouted down, ignored, berated, falsely accused, and occasionally condemned. It has been made very clear to me through this process, that those on the attack, had very little understanding of my actual position. They were arguing against views that I do not hold. This will never be productive.

If you and I were debating who was the better NFL QB, and I'm arguing that its Terry Bradshaw, but you think I'm arguing that its Big Ben, we are gonna have some serious misunderstandings. Sorry, its a terrible analogy, but its the best I got.

Hence, the post and the video.

They don't have to watch it. No one does. And 95% of those who hold to the majority view, simply won't. Because of, well, actually I don't know. Some people just prefer to remain ignorant, its bliss you know, or so they say. That's their choice.

Thank you for taking the time to post this video in which I did not look at it, but did look up the word antisemitism. as far as the meaning of antisemitism is only a carnal minded person who would put down others because they do not believe the same way. Below is my study I wrote about deception in religion.

Latin root word for religion is bondage, which is different then that of Gods pure religion of James 1:27, but that of following tradition and the doctrine of a mans church, not Gods true church. Religion tells you what you can and cannot do and becomes socially acceptable by mans interpretations, traditions and doctrines. Religion is what nailed Christ to the cross because this Bible is not socially acceptable to society, if it were then Christ would have died in vain. God is not about mans religion, nor does he recognize religion. God is about a personal relationship with you and His son Jesus Christ.
(John 1:1-5; John 3:5-7; Romans 10:9-10)

The biggest deception Satan can use is to confuse the unlearned mind. God said his people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. You forget me and my word and I will forget you and your children. This is a pretty profound statement that holds so much truth. This is why this world is in the shape it is in today with so many religions claiming they are the true religion and only they will go to heaven and those who do not conform to their ways will go to hell.
(Hosea 4:6-9)

Truth has now turned to deception of the carnal minds ways of thinking which produces mans interpretations, traditions of law and doctrine. Satan has such a foothold on religions and has side blinded all of us into believing whatever is taught behind the pulpit is truth because after all, they are the Priest, Rabbis, Pastors, etc. etc. and they should know what they are talking about because they are our teachers. Satan is pretty clever and the master of lies and deceit.
(1Peter 5:8-10; 1Peter 4:11; Rev 22:18-19)

2Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2Timothy 2:16 but shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
