have you prayed for the sick and they got healed?

Why would you say that death is the best healing? Can you please explain a little further as I do not want to assume what you are saying.
Lazarus was resurrected... and died again later. An imperfect healing.

And for Biblical reference...
Phil 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

Everyone will die at some point and time, while others remain alive at the coming of Christ, but if we pray for others healings and they are healed then their quality of life is far better then suffering in sickness and misery until they physically die.

And the ultimate healing is to go to be with the Lord.

I can agree with that, but do we just let a person suffer until they die as it could take years before they do, or should we pray for God's will be done in their life. Those who have been healed are grateful to God for being given back their quality of life and have gone on to witness Christ to others as they testify of His mercy and grace bringing others to Christ.

Why should they suffer?
I didn't say I pray for pain.
I pray for things that matter more than a one time healing.
I pray that in life, or death, their faith will remain strong... that they will be an example of Christ, that their light will shine in the darkest hour of despair.
Praying for a temporary healing is not terribly important in my view.

It's definitely your view, but if I was so sick that there was no quality of life as I suffer miserably, I would only hope others would pray for my healing and that I would be healed so I could continue to witness and testify of Christ.

Or would a fear of death be the motivation?

Many times I have hear people say they have great reasons for living... and at the end it is only the fear of dying that I recognize in their eyes.

Make sure you know the difference.
