"Having A Personal Relationship With Jesus Is Dangerous"

I was asked yesterday, point blank, this question and it truly made me wonder.... here is the question;

"If following Yeshua was a highly criminal act and you got caught, would there be enough evidence to convict you?"
At one time, I would have probably gotten an acquittal, sad to say, But I am discovering new truths and trying to live them and tell others...I may be looking at serious jail time :)

"Even Peter said Paul was hard to understand, yet we get doctrine and new traditions from a few letters."

yes. ((enough evidence) to convict and behead) thankfully and joyfully and full of rejoicing in Yeshua HaMashiach.

note for thought, that if you ('just') follow doctrine and traditions then you're probably safe.
I don't think i get any doctrine or traditions from Paul's letters (as far as I know). ..... :study ..... will check....
(it's awkward because so many doctrines and traditions that exist are like Yeshua talked about, and not to be followed..... so i guess it depends on which ones .... ? )

man its scary that I was raised in that.My dad married my stepmom when I was 10 and we were baptized (catechism) into the catholic church.Though I really enjoyed the structure of it because it was the first stable thing in my life since my parents divorce and all the drama that came with it with them dragging us into their stuff.But I remember my stepmom and people at church telling us not to visit other churches because they were cults and we were the true church etc etc.Im so blessed that God used it to show me he was a stable consistent thing for me and at the age of 17 a girl from my bus and from a different church led me to ask Jesus into my heart and thats when my true freedom began.I still get relatives from that side of the family that when they see me ask me when I am coming back to the catholic church.

"Pope Francis: Having a Personal Relationship with Jesus is Dangerous"
Pope Francis created a controversy amongst Evangelicals this week, when he stated in his weekly address, that those who believe they can maintain a "personal" and "direct" relationship with Jesus Christ outside the "mediation of the Church" was "dangerous and harmful."
Honestly, I have nothing but mean sarcastic remarks, therefore, I will keep them to myself. Instead, this emoticon will suffice: :hysterical

Is this why God places such emphasis and importance on actually reading the Bible and not trusting men ?
It sure seems like if people would read the Bible and believe it, then all the cults and even most errors would 'vanish' or at least lose power over/in their lives.

You got that right my friend!! :agreed

Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

The pope has spent an entire life as Pharisee; as expert and guide for others in religious matters. he can no more walk away from all that delusion than a rich man part with his wealth to follow Jesus. And, the pope's church is a human institution that requires contributors to pay the bills. It needs to convince people to recognize its authority. He represents a church That teaches children not of Jesus' love but of mortal sins, and that weighs and measures sins and judges men in God's name.
Most harshly to be punished, if I recall, will be false teachers.
