Friends, I’m new here and not sure how to do this correctly. I would like to ask for your prayers this week.

I dropped off my kiddos at camp this afternoon and took a look at my schedule for this week. I have eight medical appointments, seven for myself and one consult for my kids before Friday morning, when I head back to pick up my dudes. I don’t feel scared, per se, just overwhelmed. And it’s all expensive. Some of it will be painful. I am going alone to all of them.

Specifically, I need favor with the pain management clinic, so they don’t think I’m drug seeking. I need wise nutrition counseling from the two people I will see for that. I need wisdom from neurology for a way forward for my twins, who are some seriously complex fellows. And courage for my tests.

I appreciate the kindness I see from you toward each other. I thank you for whatever prayers you might offer on my behalf this week.

definitely praying. the so-called "opioid epidemic" bothers me because...it seems that people who need proper pain treatment are being denied the care they need, while the addicts and thrill seekers somehow find Dr.Feel Goods to give them whatever they want. Its clearly not right. sorry about this. :-(

Recently, God has been working with me about fear. I’ve been doing rather well as I lean into him hard. Yesterday afternoon, I began to feel it covering me as I experienced a higher amount of pain and contemplated today’s procedures. Doctors make feel incredibly stupid and so very vulnerable, and today there will be pain. So, please pray I can banish fear. I have an appointment in an hour, and I’m in testing all afternoon.

Thank you! One down, and it was an encouraging, respectful appointment for my boys. Not every day a doctor says I’m doing a “reasoned, thorough, dedicated” job managing my boys’ health care. Super sweet kisses before heading off for my testing in half an hour. I so appreciate your prayers, sisters and brothers.

I’m done for now! Waiting on one review of a test, is all. I tried to fit in as much as I could while the boys are at camp.

I have to do a bunch of stuff based on appointments earlier this week, but tonight I will rest and prepare for the boys to come home. A GOOD day. Thanks, Tessa.
