Heaven - what/where

A good illustration of it could be a goldfish bowl. Inside the Goldfish bowl is our natural realm, and time. Outside the bowl is the vastness of the eternal heavens so to speak. Right there, and yet beyond the reach of the goldfish (us).

Or you could hold up a bottle of pop in the air and get the same perspective. We are inside, God is outside (and inside). This would also explain how God was able to take john outside and forward to see things, and then return him. Time travel, you bet. Step outside of time.

Me too sister. Have you ever gotten the feeling that you sensed a presence that you could not see? I have. This could be our spiritual senses working for us and we might not even realize it. Many times we may say, oh that's just my imagination...and dismiss it. but is it really just our imagination?
The strange thing is...it would be very very quiet in my familyroom. You could hear a pin drop and my cat would jump up and startle.I thought what is it?

you bet. Animals seem to be very attuned to the supernatural. Next time the cat does that, start looking and pray that the Lord opens your eyes. Don't dismiss it as your imagination! Also, remember...if they happen to be evil or demonic spirits, that you have total authority over them in the name of Jesus Christ. Don't be scared. If you can see evil spirits, then they can't sneak up on you can they?! :)

She is dead :sad

Some verses I put together suggesting a 4th dimension.

Ephesians 3:17-18
"17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;" height being an extra dimension from 3D space

Job 22:12
"Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!" There is that word height again. Like heaven is a high place.

Psalms 102:19
" For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;" heaven associated with height.

Revelation 21:16
"And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal."

Ephesians 6:12
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." spiritual wickedness in HIGH places. Spiritual/ celestial/

John 18:36
"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." One doesn't get a higher truth than Jesus.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that sister.

Since we know that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places...I think that we should be trying to see and perceive the spiritual realm. Exercise those spiritual senses (but in a godly way and not occultic!). Think, perceive/pray/look. This may be part of living for the spirit as we are instructed to do.

Not only are their demons in the outer realm there are angels as well.Battling against each other?

I'm not sure that's what Jesus meant there.

Luk 17:20-21 KJV And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Jesus was talking to the unbelieving Pharisees here and so it seems He was telling them that He was amid them ie. standing right in front of them. Believing in Jesus would give them access to the Kingdom of God which is a physical place on Earth as per Rev 21. What do you think ?

Do you have any scriptures that might imply this unseen world where the spirits live is Heaven ?

I got an idea about that the other day see what you think. The kingdom of God is a spiritual thing but here on the Earth its also a kingdom. The kingdom of Christianity or the body of Christ. Imagine that being a walled city. Inside is christian music, christian activities etc. Outside of this city is the wilderness. Satan is out there in the wilderness waiting to way lay anyone he can. Inside the walled city of our lord is order, peace. Out in the wilderness (world) is chaos and disorder. Jesus teaches you a better way to live while here on Earth as well as the heavenly reward. The hidden metaphor is in the garden of gethesemane, when the roman soldiers and Judas came to get Jesus. Peter grabbed a sword and chopped off a soldiers ear, Jesus told Peter to drop the sword, because all who live by the sword will die by the sword. The sword is Satan, drama chaos death (sin). Anything outside the body of christ is like holding that sword. And being out in the wilderness. I can't tell you the times I have found myself in trouble or in jail and I would think "how did I get here?" It all begins with some activity that is outside the body of christ or the walled Earthly kingdom. It ends in a situation that most find undesirable. The solution is to never pick up the sword at all. So in essence, Jesus teaches you a better way to live while here in the flesh. Once you repent and give up Earthly desires you realize how meaningless this stuff was, that you use to care so much about.

Yes,the concept of the different dimesions interests me.The fact that an angel could be standing right next to you and you do not know.
Yes I agree, and as well what Luke taught in Hebrews 13:2 NIV. We get them in corporeal and non-corporeal form.

You know that not all angels have wings.Only the Cherubim and Seraphim and the Bible describes angels in the masculine.

Yeah and it's interesting that they don't seem to be the pretty lil critters we usually imagine according to Moses, Isaiah, Ezekiel etc.

Michael is the Archangel Daniel 12:1."The great prince who protects".Can you imagine what he looks like? :eek2

What do you think?A guardian could really look like this or a worldly version of an angel?

Yes they do battle. Remember when Daniel was praying for 21 days and the messenger Angel was delayed by the Prince of Persia? Michael had to come and help him so he could pass and get to Daniel.

There are many types of Angels. Some appear as men, they have different jobs to do. My understanding is that we each have two Angels assigned to us, one is a scribe Angel that writes down all of our thoughts, words and deeds, and the other is a guardian Angel. I heard a sermon from a pastor which said something along the lines of...the Armor of God which we put on, is also what is provided to our Angel or something like that. So it is important for us to think cooperatively and be cooperative with our own Angels. (I wish I could remember exactly where I heard that).

Remember when Elijah went up in a whirlwind? I heard a testimony from a certain Pastor (Bruce Allen) who said the whirlwind was not just a whirlwind, but an Angel which piloted the chariot which took Elijah up, so there's another type of Angel...

Cool :)

Oh, forgot. The same whirlwind Angel visited his church a time or two and there were healings that night so this Angel also is some sort of Angel of healing.
