Hello, everyone. Newbie here

Hello, everybody :wave2.

My name is Jan, I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I'm a 50 y.o. man (yes, Jan is a guy's name over here). English isn't my first language so I apologise in advance for any mistakes, but I guess you'll have an even harder time understanding me if I wrote in Danish.

I'm very glad to be here. Having only recently found God I'm still trying to find my way in a very secular country and world. I'm looking for advise, knowledge and getting to know new friends and contacts here.

God bless you.

Welcome Brother Jan Nielsen. Your English is fine, and I do hope we can be instrumental in your Christian growth. As you're led of the Lord just jump right in on the conversations that are of interest to you, and undoubtedly that will encourage you to go deeper in study; at least it's that way for me. May we as a Christian fellowship be mutually blessed with your participation in Jesus' name. I look forward to your posts and perspective as someone from another land I have little knowledge of.

Hi Jan,
I live in Europe too and I know what you mean about secularism.

Anyway, welcome to CF. I'm sure you're going to like it here. Everyone is nice and it's like a big family.
You'll find that there are disagreements with some doctrine or other, but everyone is civil to each other.

If I may, I'd like to suggest Bible Study to you and also the Foundation of Faith. In Bible Study, for instance, there's a nice study going on right now for the book of Mathew given by a very nice former Pastor named Chopper.

But, there's a little of everything here. Look around under the titles.

And, don't by shy... Post!

Wondering
P.S. You know what they say: I wish I could speak Danish as well as you speak English!

Copenhagen eh?
Almost Swedish?

Good to have you.

I was thinking about making some apple strudel. Perhaps you might have a family recipe for it.
I was curious if it was different than the Austrian strudel with the hard, crunchy crust.

But being from Copenhagen you probably know more about seafood than anything else.

But I am glad to have you. You'll have to remember that we have a 7 hr time difference. The middle of the night here is your late morning there.

Hello Jan,

Welcome to CFnet; I think you will find these forums both helpful and engaging. There is no need to worry about your English, it is perfectly fine; English is my second language too!
I am looking forward to conversing with you in the future.

Well....
I'm one to say whichever Scandinavian can put up the best strudel wins...I'll be the taste testing judge....heh heh heh.
