Hello to Everyone... I just stumbled on to this site and I am so glad I did. I've been looking for a site where I can chat with fellow christians. I live in VA,US and have been a christian for many years, but just recently renewed my faith in Christ...

I really just need to get something off my chest right off -- can someone please tell me why does folks seem so angry and unhappy... every where I turn - there are sad and lifeless features. What is going on???

Anyway, I am just happy to be here.

You ask a valid question. Many people are looking for that which will grant them instant gratification. The grounded follower of Christ would insist they are looking in the all the wrong places. A Pastor by the name of Dr. David Jeremiah once said this:

"It's an everlasting hunger for an ever diminishing pleasure."

Although he was applying it to addictions and vices, it applies to just about everything in life that will come and go. Oprah, Barak, our jobs, our friends and family, etc. are here today and gone tomorrow. But the Lord is the One and only who can promise us eternity.
