Hello! A little about myself. I am 28 years old married to a wonderful husband (recently saved) I have an 11 year old step daughter, whom I love dearly. I was a Christian in high school who walked away from God because I did not want deal with the abuse I experienced as a child. A little over 3 years ago I was going to commit suicide. That is when God came for me. I turned my life completely over to God. God has used me to help my husband believe in Him and steer my family in faith. I currently teach 8-12 year olds on Sunday. I also teach middle and high school students on Wednesdays for our Youth Ministry (my calling). I am very blessed and very happy, even through trials and tribulations. The Lord is my rock, my stregnth, my everything. With out Him I am nothing. I eat breath and sleep the Lord.

I needed a place (besides church) to talk with other Christians. I find myself constantly around non believers where if I were to discuss anything in my life I would just end up defending my faith (not that it is a bad thing. Sometimes I just need human interaction.)

Hey, welcome to the forum!

I personally don't like to feel as though I must defend my faith. I would much rather just share what it is and let God do the defending. We are called to be ready to answer for the hope that is within us but that doesn't have to be defense. Something to consider.

Welcome to the site. I thoroughly understand your sentiment in needing Christian interaction. This last New Years' even, I, my father-in-law, and brother-in-law had a relative visiting who is a pastor, and we must have spent 5 hours straight up to midnight talking about theology, Jesus, you name it. I think we could have gone all morning. How refreshing and encouraging was our fellowship. I hope you are able to find the fellowship here to be encouraging to you.
