Bible Study Help me (please) find this Bible verse :)

These, maybe?

Mark 8:34
And Jesus called [to Him] the throng with His disciples and said to them, If anyone intends to come after Me, let him deny himself [forget, ignore, disown, and lose sight of himself and his own interests] and take up his cross, and [joining Me as a disciple and siding with My party] follow with Me [continually, cleaving steadfastly to Me].

Luke 9:23
And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also].

Thanks but thats not it. I finally found it. Mathew 19:17 "And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." Enter into life is the words I was confusing.

The Spirit of life is truly in the commandments of God that when we love God and love our neighbor as our self we do good in walking in His Spirit as we are in Gods will and not our own.

Jesus says something to the effect of "If you choose to be here, follow the commandments"

Thanks
normally when i cant find a scripture or phrase from a word search in E SWORD (the coolest free bible program) i type it in google search bar with the word scripture behind it and I most allways find it. there are so many commentaries out there that generally someone has phrased it the same way I remember it and that has proven to be the most effective way for me to find what im looking for quickly.

Agreed! I find a lot of scripture this way. Viva le computers! Some things would take days or weeks to find if we had to turn the pages every time. And then...notes! notes and more notes. I keep notes on the computer, backup external hard drive and a couple notebooks. Seems to work well for me. :)

usually you only need to have a partial phrase to google it.

i used to use like 5 books and dictionaries. I havent opened my strongs concordance in a wile its probably getting lonely. I do go through my interlinear bible though it has every translated word in hebrew backwards the way it was actually recorded, and greek is read left to right the we read. That thing has been and amaizing tool for search out sentence structure and word studies. one would definitely be suprised when they find how much of the hebrew language needs to be interpreted to translate into english. all those jot and titles have more meaning than we know.
Mat_5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

You got that right brother! Everyday they find out more things about the bible than ever before. So many things are "coincidentally" in the bible is some non-ordinary fashion, that it proves two things, that the bible is the inspiried Word of God, and that God is real. Check this out!
