[__ Prayer __] Help - Prayers for my business and hence my bread and butter

Help me please...
since Friday (23/11) I was in a daze and confusion...

I am running a small tuition biz.. the number of students have dropped very badly in the last few years. Then on Friday, I received noticed that my rent will be increased from $2K to $3K... and this is beyond my capacity - I could not generate this revenue to cover the cost...

Worst is that I am the sole bread winner of the family and I cannot find another job, (too old).. if I were to give up my location, then the files and worksheets etc I have no where to move them to .. my house is very small and its already full.

I have not slept since that Friday..I have been praying but I still cannot find the peace that Jesus says (Peace I leave with you..)
I need God's direction and His strength to see me through these. I need Him to provide for me a new direction - maybe some other location where I can start over again, I need God to help me to generate students (hence income) quickly to cover my expenses and my family...

I need God to be with me... I need His peace.. I need His Grace
I need Him to expand my territories .. I need Him to give me the abundance (like cast the net over there.. and they catch a lot of fishes...)

I need God.. do not forsake your servant...

Help me God
 
Dear Father, this breaks my heart to see a brother experiencing the trial of his faith and I come to you to lift him up and return the joy of his salvation as he is suffering at this time. You never leave or forsake us, and all things work together for good to those of us which love You, but as with Job wishing he had never been born You allow these things into our lives. Please help him as You make his path straight, Your will done in his life, and show him the direction to take as You accomplish the miracle he needs in his life at this time not only for him but his family depending on him too.

Also Father, calm his fear, restore his health, and show what great things these changes are accomplishing. As with me Father in my trial I was drawn to Your word as never before and You increased my faith to step out into the deliverance You wanted for me. Thank You Father for hearing me this night, and I do ask these things in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
 
Lord, please give him the peace that comes from knowing he has a place in heaven, regardless of what happens on earth. Please help not to worry about what will happen, but to prayerfully trust in you, and please provide for him in this difficult time. Please give him more students, and give him wisdom to know what he should do in this situation. In Jesus' name, amen.
 
Dear Lord,

As I go through this crisis, I am thankful for your Grace. I am also thankful that my wife is supporting me.I am thankful to you that provided a fellow brother that can rent me his room for my biz should I need it, and at a very low - below market- rate.

Lord, I pray that you find a suitable buyer to take over the premises at a reasonable enough price. and Lord please let it happen quickly. I could not sustain too long. Lord, help me to pack and clear the place. I have tried, and after packing - it does not look packed nor cleared at all. I am very demoralized, Lord. Help me Lord... do not forsake your servant.

Lord, I will be venturing into free lance mode in my tuition. It will mean that I will have no fixed base to operate from.
Pray that you will bless me with a lot of students that can pay me enough for my family expenses. And Lord enlarge my territories and let my fame grows and my reputation increase... and then I will say to them - it is my Lord that blessed me with this...

I claim John 21: 6 when you asked your disciples to cast the net the other side. This verse came to me on Monday, and I take it from you that you wanted me to move to another location. Lord, in this location there are indeed alot of fishes (students)
John 21:6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch.â€

Lord, I pray that these fishes will come calling - and they can provide abundance for us, my family. I pray also that a place can be found so that I can have a foothold in this new location. (Lord, there are hardly any premises that I can hold my services, but I have faith in you Lord, that you will provide one for me.)

Lord, throughout this tough period, I pray that you will let my wife and me have good sleep every night. (we have not slept well since). We need the energy for our work.

I pray for the wisdom and peace in the whole situation. Lord, the problem is indeed very big, but I have faith that you will even be Bigger than any problems that I will face.. but Lord, show me thy way - cos I am very lost and confuse, and frighten..

Lord, I need you to handle the things and provide a path for me...

I can't do it alone... Help me Lord.

I pray all these in Jesus name, Amen
 
Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Matthew77ask and his dedication to helping his family. LORD Jesus, thank You for allowing him to surrender his problems to You and You alone know the pain and heavy financial burden he feels. We believe in Your power and might, but most of all we believe in Your goodness and that You are truly the great Provider. I pray that they will experience a blessing, peace and comfort from You. Strengthen him and his family, Heavenly Father and draw them closer to You during this trial.

In Jesus Name.

Matt, you're in my prayers tonight . The Lord is always faithful.
 
Update:

1 A centre next to mind offering childrens' art classes has allowed me to use his place for 20% of my fees. This will help me to take care of my exisiting students.
2 I have found some very important documents pertaining to the centre that I thought was mis-placed
3 A few estate agents are working to seek for buyers to take-over.
4 I have started to pack the centre - but it is a huge task. (ten years of work )

5 the new location - the board has in principle allowed me to continue to use the place.


Please pray for me

- to find someone that is willing to take the place
- to be able to pack the place - what to throw and to retain
- God will provide me with abundance students for the new year - hence the income stream
- wisdom to understand the works of the lower levels mathematics.

my wife will be with me all the time...

Dear Brother Matthew, I continue in prayer for your situation and one thing you can be assured of is our Lord's faithfulness to usward which believe; He will never forsake of leave you.

It's an old saying, but we hear that God never takes something away that He doesn't give us something better. This has been the experience and testimony of my life. When it appeared all was lost and my faith of no avail God carried me into the paths He wanted me in. What a blessing and sustainer of everything we need as He is providing so great salvation to us.

God bless you in Jesus' name.
 
Update - and prayer request...
1 I have proceed to sell my biz - I pray that the potential buyer will offer me a more reasonable price.. and everything will work out well
2 Packing and clearing of the place - it has been a very slow process... pray for more wisdom and strength to clear quicker,. and that there are place to store the things
3 the excess furniture - can be sold off

4 I have gone for a job interview - I pray that the reply tomorrow - Monday - is a good one - with good enough package that can cover my expenses.
5 I am going for another interview at a school - I pray that God can turn it into a great opportunity to teach full time instead.

6 Pray that God show me HIS path for me to take ... iI am not sure at all....

7 Pray that in all these - the relationship with my wife will still be protected - she was very upset on Sat nite and Sun morning - and do not want to go church after the quarrel...

Please folks - appreciate your encouragements and prayers..

this is the only place I can seek some comfort

Bless you dear brother at this time. Do not forget that your wife is also suffering fear of things to come and may just strike out not knowing what else to do. Other times we can become mad at God, and if that has not yet happened you haven't walked very far with God. I do pray that your situation will quickly change for the better of your lives and we we hear the praises of God's deliverance.

Dear Father, just have Your way to bringing forth the blessings You desire Matthew and his wife to have to be in Your perfect will for them. Please help them to overcome fear, and please apply Your great grace, healing, and mercy to their lives at this critical time in their lives, Thank You Father and I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
 
Thanks to all the people that prayed for me.. things are moving - with your prayer and God's hand.
I was not as bad as it was when I first started this thread.... but things are not done yet.. please help...

Update: Please pray for me...

1 A buyer (MYIP)has been found for the premises, please pray that she agrees to the tenancy terms and conditions so that the handover is smooth.

2 That I still have ALOT of stuff to clear - to move out.. please pray that I can get it done by this week - so that I have a good Xmas
(**** very important)

3 My interview with a education company was good and they gave me an offer. I wanted to up the offer by $500. Please pray that it will work
4 Please pray for wisdom as to what course of action I should take:
Take up the full time sales position of this education company and give tuition in the weekends and nites or
join the buyer of my place (MYIP) to supplement her classes on a fuller time basis but still teach in the schools in the day as part time

5 Pray that there will be people that will be willing to buy the furniture of the tuition center.

6 Let me and my wife sleep well and be happy - knowing that things are been settled and handled by God.

God , My Lord - where art thou - tell me - what should I do ?

Give me a clear sign... Lord ....
 
Thanks everyone for the prayers.

Here is an update:
1 I "sold" my biz place - at 1K more. And since I do not need to pay commission to the agent - I pocket the entire amount. Thank Lord for that.

2 The company offered me a Sales Manager position... but the pay is a little lesser than expected. Still it is a jump from the part-time teaching assignment that I was doing for the last many years. I will still want to work outside office hours to supplement my income - to meet my financial target.
If the company really grows - I will be one of the senior staff... Please pray that I can adapt to the company and that I will shine in this position so that the company will grow and prosper and hence bring Glory to God almighty .



3 Please pray for clearing of my current place. I need to move out by end of this year. My target is to clear out before Xmas - so that I can enjoy the day of Birth of Christ.
Please also pray that I can sell away the current chairs at a good price ... they are used but they are really good...

4 Please pray that in all these crisis - let God showed me the way - the peace ... and let God show me His abundance that He will take care of my financial obligations through His providence and His Grace.


5 Pray that my wife and I will have good night rest every night and peace between us.. through His Grace and mercy.

Pray that when Jesus says cast the net the other side - this is the route , the path, that He wants me to go...

I dont know what to do, I can only pray - that God will lead me and direct me on what to do.
To me - he is in charge - and if He is in charge - then He better tell me what to do - cos I do not know what to do.
So I pray - and pray and pray...
I wished that God has some form of prayer- auto response -
"Your prayer has been received, and God is looking at it, and He will DO something about it, Meanwhile, continue to pray"

Dear God,
You know the situation I am in. Maybe you created the situation for me to be in.
I do not know the purpose nor the reasons - I do not need to - but God I trust you that you are doing this for a very very good reason.
and you will not harm me nor hurt me - and you will keep me and my family in tact, and provide for us.

I trust you God, and I have faith in you. But it is just that when I am in the situation, it is very very difficult to see all these and have the faith and trust.
God show me your ways - in my dreams, in my thinking etc - so that I know you are with me- and has not abandon me.

God, my life, my family, myself - our providence - ie mortgages, loans, expenses etc - you will provide.. and can I also ask for more abundance, so that we can treat ourselves to something nice.

God - I praise you, and I love you.

Dear Brother Matthew, you're beginning to sound as Solomon did when given the kingdom of his father David, and that becomes wisdom.

1 Kings 3:7 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

Dear Father, please continue to bless Matthew and his wife even as he asks and I ask this in Jesus' name. Thank You Father. Amen.
 
Just an update:

1 I started the new job on 2nd Jan... every thing seems ok.

2 I managed to cleared out of the place, moved the stuff into home, and managed to hid them away

3 I have juz lost 5 of my existing students - becos of the change.. it makes me very sad - cos they are my best - in terms of results as well as $$. and today another 3 more

4 The new tenant allowed me to teach in the place during my time slots. So I am ok.. but now with only 3 students left.. it does not really matter.

God, your grace has see me through.. I need more grace to bring in more students...

Thanks to all who pray... it is during my difficult times that I kept a lookout for your prayers in this forum - and yes - i re-read them... knowing that there are people out there that does hear me... thanks.
