So, today I was at my uniformed security guard training class. My instructor also works part time at Home Depot and I found something very interesting, and I don't think I'll be going to Lowe's anymore.
So, maybe you guys didn't know, but the owner of Home Depot is a Christian and he is pretty open about it. He regularly stands up and uses his title to push for Christian causes.
But here is the part that will make me stay a Home Depot customer forever now.
None of their Execs. take bonuses. They get a fixed salary, like everyone else who works there. Then, instead of taking bonuses, they give all that money to the employees at every level.
I was really impressed by this. Maybe the other guys were to, but I think they were more impressed with the 22$ an hour and a 10% bonus every year.
