House

I watched it several times and really liked it, but for some reason I suddenly had a hard time catching it. I'm addicted to Grey's Anatomy and ER though. I have major withdrawl if I even miss 10 minutes of it.

House kills me. He has absolutely no bed side manner, is a bitter cynic and funny as heck.

The only pitfall of the show is that House, himself, is so good that the rest of the people merely fade into the back ground as far as being interesting (at least his three cronies).

Did you see the one this season with the autistic boy and he was screaming on the bed and House walks in, "For the love of God, would somebody shut that kid up!!?"

I laughed so hard after that, that days later I would be laughing just thinking about it.

That's just the kind of guy House is.

My husband and I watch House together every week. I'm still not sure how I feel about Wilson leaving. I understand his POV, but he's a good opposite for House. Hmmmm...

Yes, After Amber dies (she's his gf and House hired her, but then she left), Wilson has a hard time. She died because House gets drunk and then calls Wilson to come get him. Wilson was out (on call I think, but I don't remember for certain) and Amber was the one to go get him. They get on a bus and the bus gets hit by a trash truck. Amber took a medication that when given another medication from the accident kills her kidneys (again, I think...it may have been her heart, though) and Wilson turns the life support off so that she can pass easily. She dies crying in his arms. Now Wilson is angry, and House can't admit to feeling guilty because he's devoid of any feeling except bitterness. House and Cuddy are trying to get him to stay. He's tired of House using him. He hasn't left yet, but is packing up and gave his notice. I don't know that he'll actually leave, though.

I love House especially when religion etc comes up and just generally how he overthinks everything and the repartee between him and others (I can't keep up with their thought process).
Just wished the sex and females with bra as patients and he makes those comments (could easily be very clean but sadly isn't) and the couple of story intros which is "dodgy' shows too much.

but yes I love his sarcastic manner (don't like the new lot of doctors though)

WHAAAAT!!! You've got to be kidding me! I used to watch Jeeves and Wooster as a kid, and I NEVER would've put the two together if it weren't for that link. Wow... :o

Hugh Laurie's American accent is so good, that I spent most of the first season
going "He sure looks Familiar".

Two bits of trivia.
1, When Laurie first additioned for the series, he went for the role of Wilson! He thought that Wilson was going to be the main character. Latter he learned that Greg House was going to be the main character and that Wilson was intended to be a late 20's, early 30's, age character and thought that he had no chance of getting the role. He decided to go back and try for the Greg House role.

2, The producers had already met with several british actors who tried for the House character and hated everyone of them. They felt that none of them sounded American. So it was decided that they would stop allowing brits to read for the role. Laurie sounded so perfect for the role that they decided to cast him. Never knowing, until after he was hired, that he was a british actor.

I prefer Scrubs but I do like House.
I watched at least a couple seasons over the course of a week(on DVD) once.
But I haven't watched it much lately. I don't know why, I just haven't.
Maybe I should start watching it again. :chin
