Bible Study how christ keep us

for ljkp. let us look at this. i can agree with you on this and i can defend it.

Greetings to you today in the Lord Jesus Christ

Jason -

How shall we enter into this conversation? What are the intentions I am about to wander into? I'm asking because if it is intended for debate I rather not!

God Bless you today

LJ

theres a common agreemeant amongst arminism and calvinism. that is that christ does allow us to wander and will woo us back.

lets go from there.

I believe that no matter our deep our fellowship is with Christ Romans 3:23 we fall short of the Glory of God. And it does not matter how "good" we are and how many "good works" we have done. In the eyes of the Lord it's filthy. Isaiah 64:6

But I'm not familiar with a verse that says Christ "allows us to wander" but rather shows Mercy and Grace when we have sinned and come to repentance.

its called in calvinism the perseverance of the saints. on has to assume that something are implied in the bible. ie pauls prayer over that man that satan may destroy his flesh and yet his soul saved.

that is what im talking about.

It can be called whatever and by whomever - If it's in agreement with the Bible I'm for it and if it disagrees with the Bible then I'm disagree with it. Jason, where is that Scripture so I may :study regarding Paul's prayer?

Thanks

LJ

To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1 cor 5:5
sorry i thought it was a prayer but it was when the church removes a member. if i recall that man repented his sin? it was sleeping with his step-mother.

Thank you for the Scripture, yes I believe that Paul was suggesting that his flesh be condemned unto repentance for the saving of his soul.

its also my belief that God allows us to sin and will Not allow us to be lost if he can help it. that is where you and the calvinists will disagree but i do believe that he makes no one serve him.

People will interpret Scripture differently, thus the many denominations around the world. The important factors that are, is that a person is Christ-centered, that one believes that confessing their sins before the Lord and believes in their heart that He came and died for their sins is the only way to obtain salvation. All the other stuff that people want to argue over really has no substance to me and my walk in Christ. I will look and evaluate a person(s) belief by what I see them do (their actions). Anyone can walk around saying "I'm a Christian" but are they really? Does their faith produce fruit in the spirit? Does what a person say really line up with the Word of God? And if not, I will not argue with that person but I know to keep that person at arms-length and take their words with a grain of salt (sort a speak).

well., how does one come to christ and then turn to loving men?was his repentance not sincere?

that is my story. i did just that and i KNEW i was in sin.

I'm not really sure how to answer that, maybe because I do not understand what you mean by "turn to loving men."

I will say this no matter what I think you mean by that last post or not. There is no sin that can not be forgiven men except one; the blaspheme of the Holy Spirit Mark 3:29 and some may disagree with me on this and that's fine but I believe that unpardonable sin of the blaspheme of the Holy Spirit is to deny Christ.

True you would be found guilty (if unconfessed), and where people will usually disagree is:

1. You lost your salvation

or

2. You're saved as by fire but have lost rewards in heaven

What is the greater sin, to have a sexual relationship outside the Laws that God has ordained or to take the name of God and profane it?

the third commandment and its failure to do so was never called an abomonation, but homesexual acts is.

Jason-

You believe that a homosexual relationship is the greater of the two sins?

So with that assessment do you believe that Christ's Blood was significant enough for one but not the other?

And in answer to this question can you please provide Scripture(s) that I may open my Bible and :study before my next reply..

both are forgivable. but if you diss the NAME of the Lord what makes you think that you are going to respect the torah and jesus?

see exodus 20 and leviticus 18. both are forgivable but im simply stating that the homosexual is listed as abomonation whereas taking the Name of the Lord in vain isnt.

Thank you for the reply. I think we are in both agreement that this sin can be forgiven (as with all sin).

God bless you this evening
