for ljkp. let us look at this. i can agree with you on this and i can defend it.
theres a common agreemeant amongst arminism and calvinism. that is that christ does allow us to wander and will woo us back.
lets go from there.
its called in calvinism the perseverance of the saints. on has to assume that something are implied in the bible. ie pauls prayer over that man that satan may destroy his flesh and yet his soul saved.
that is what im talking about.
1 cor 5:5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1 cor 5:5
sorry i thought it was a prayer but it was when the church removes a member. if i recall that man repented his sin? it was sleeping with his step-mother.
its also my belief that God allows us to sin and will Not allow us to be lost if he can help it. that is where you and the calvinists will disagree but i do believe that he makes no one serve him.
well., how does one come to christ and then turn to loving men?was his repentance not sincere?
that is my story. i did just that and i KNEW i was in sin.
i went and acted on my bisexual nature and loved men and had sex with one.yes its forgivable but if i died in that sin that is where i would be found guilty. but this is the bible study not a debate forum.Jason -
I'm not really sure how to answer that, maybe because I do not understand what you mean by "turn to loving men."
I will say this no matter what I think you mean by that last post or not. There is no sin that can not be forgiven men except one; the blaspheme of the Holy Spirit Mark 3:29 and some may disagree with me on this and that's fine but I believe that unpardonable sin of the blaspheme of the Holy Spirit is to deny Christ.

True you would be found guilty (if unconfessed), and where people will usually disagree is:
1. You lost your salvation
or
2. You're saved as by fire but have lost rewards in heaven
What is the greater sin, to have a sexual relationship outside the Laws that God has ordained or to take the name of God and profane it?
the third commandment and its failure to do so was never called an abomonation, but homesexual acts is.
Jason-
You believe that a homosexual relationship is the greater of the two sins?
So with that assessment do you believe that Christ's Blood was significant enough for one but not the other?
And in answer to this question can you please provide Scripture(s) that I may open my Bible andbefore my next reply..

both are forgivable. but if you diss the NAME of the Lord what makes you think that you are going to respect the torah and jesus?
see exodus 20 and leviticus 18. both are forgivable but im simply stating that the homosexual is listed as abomonation whereas taking the Name of the Lord in vain isnt.
