Bible Study How did Abraham know

How was Issac Abe's only begotten Son as the scripture says?. He had Ishmael who the scriptures point to as his first begotten Son as he was the Father. He had two Sons.

It doesn't make sense.

I could understand one and only son as in meaning Issac was the only Son with him at that time as Ishmael was sent out with the goats.

Issac was the first begotten son according to God's promise, not Abraham's works. (Gen. 12:2-4; Gen. 15:1-6; 17:1-8; 15-19; 20-27) (Rom. 9:6-13) This is why so many misunderstand the calling and election of our God. It is of God who calls...not man who wills. (Rom. 9:16) (John 1:9-13) We do not worship God because we want to avoid Hell, but we worship God because of who He is. He is worthy to be praised....not appeased. When once we feared God we fear Him no more, for perfect love casteth out fear. (1 John 4:17-19)

He did.God spoke to me audibly one time, and. I had never heard His voice before but it was immediately obvious that this was God.

I expect it was the same way, when God talked to people in the OT.

which reasons (illogically) that if something isn't clearly stated, then it's
inferred from the silence that there was nothing to state.

Regarding the scene depicted at Matt 17:1-4, a fellow student in one of my
past Sunday school classes asked the instructor how Peter knew the names
of the men with Jesus. Well; the answer was so simple that you'd never
guess. Obviously Peter and the others overheard Jesus speak to Elijah and
Moses by name; though the record doesn't say so.

Ergo: I think it's pretty safe to assume that whenever God called out to
Abraham, He announced Himself by name, e.g. Gen 17:1.

Ishmael never lost his status as one of Abraham's biological sons (Gen
25:9). However, he did lose his status as one of Abraham's legal sons and
that is a very important aspect seeing as how Ishmael outranked Isaac in
the birth order.

The common laws of Abraham's day (e.g. the Code of Hammurabi and the
laws of Lipit-Ishtar) entitled Ishmael to the lion's share of Abraham's estate
because he was Abraham's firstborn son. However, there was a clause in the
laws stipulating that if a slave-owner emancipated his child's in-slavery mother;
then the mother and the child would lose any and all claims to a paternal
property settlement with the slave-owner.

The trick is: Abraham couldn't just send Hagar packing, nor sell her, for the
clause to take effect; no, he had to emancipate her; which he did.

"and sent her away" (Gen 21:14)

The phrase "sent her away" is from the Hebrew word shalach (shaw-lakh')
which is a versatile word that can be used of divorce as well as for the
emancipation of slaves. In other words: Hagar wasn't banished as is
commonly assumed; no, she was set free; and it's very important to nail
that down in our thinking because if Abraham had merely banished Hagar,
then her son Ishmael would have retained his legal status as Abraham's
eldest son.

I believe it's important to emphasize that Hagar and Ishmael were not cut
loose because they were no longer worthy to live in Abraham's camp. No. It
was only as a measure to expedite God's future plans for Isaac. Even if
Sarah hadn't proposed the idea of emancipating Hagar, I suspect that God
would have eventually required it so anyway so that it could later be said
"Take now your son, your only son Isaac; etc." (Gen 22:2)
