How did you end up in the State you now live in?

I was born in this city of Philadelphia the birth place of our nation, so you all need to give me praise. And I died here in Philadelphia
 
All very interesting posts and interesting thread there Jethro....In no way am I suggesting that I'm any different than any one else. I am a strong believer in Election....

Ephesians 1:4 " even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 1:5 he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will."

Jeremiah 1:4 " Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."

I'm a believer that since (I hope) I was hand picked by God, like Jeremiah (just an example) The geographic locations that I have been a servant of my Lord were foreordained and thus I went according to His will. The people of Whom the Lord wanted to hear the Gospel and be saved, and those of Whom God wanted to hear His Word explained, those were again foreordained.

Christians need a philosophy that is modeled after Lord Jesus Christ. And our philosophies should be in alignment with the "Word of God" (Colossians 2:8-10 NIV) . Any philosophy that doesn't align with the "Word of God" allows a Christian to touch death (Proverbs 14:12 - Romans 8:6-10).

Jesus says in John 13:10 NKJV, "He that is washed needs not except to wash his feet, but is clean completely: and you are clean,...John 13:10 NKJV). In other words a Christian may be saved with the Blood of Jesus, but can become defile (your mind) with the tradition of men. And only the "Living Water" (The Holy Spirit) through the “washing of water by the Word” (Ephesians 5:26), can cleanse your feet with Grace and Truth that has been given to us to equip us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16–17).

. This is a daily lifetime cleansing for all.

So I ask anyone reading this, Is your feet dirty?

Air Force basic training base.
I was there October 22nd, 1982 to December 8th, 1982. :salute
(And they surely did not teach us to salute the way that silly emoticon is, lol).
From there to Chanute AFB in Rantoul, IL. Then to Cannon AFB in Clovis, NM, Then to K.I. Sawyer AFB in Gwinn, MI where I was born again and attended a Spirit-filled Full Gospel Church just a mile down the road.

Probably the best answer of all.
Apparently only God knows the complete reasons for how and why we are where we are. The only thing we know is what circumstances allowed us to be where we are. God is ultimately the one controlling the circumstances. And doing that to serve his purposes for us.
 
Born there. Would like to move one state over. I live near the border and spend much of my time in that other state so I figure I should just move there.
