[__ Prayer __] How do I know God is pleased with the direction my life is going since rededicating my life?

.
Hi Sams mom, and welcome to these forums of Christian fellowship. Dedication is a wonderful step of recovery from a world that would destroy us. God has never failed me, and He has not forsaken you. Many times the turns in our lives that seem to bring pain are the very things that give us the impetus to call out to God Who loves us enough to have given His Son for us. I hope you'll stay, enter into our many forums available for discussion and learning, and grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord that can bring peace back to many a weary soul.
Praying for you sister in Jesus' name. :wave2

How do I know God is pleased with the direction my life is going since rededicating my life?
Your conscience will know if you are becoming more honest and truthful in your life.
The Spirit of Truth, if it is within you, rejoices in your heart whenever it hears the truth. By becoming more in tune with the Holy Spirit, you will become more discerning what is true or not, and you will become more heart-conscious as a result.
Basically, God is Truth and is pleased with anything true within us. So remain true to please God and the Truth will set you free from your fears - which are untrue.

Hi SM
Welcome to the forum!
It's so good to have you here, we all have so much to learn.
But God is good and is patient with us while we're learning.
And... In the end, there really isn't too much to learn.
Just to :
Love God - do what you believe is pleasing to Him.
Love oursleves - have respect for ourselves
Love others - if we love others, we will do no harm to them and will radiate God's love to them.

Jesus said that if you believe in Him, He will set you free.
John 8:36

What does this mean?
That you have, in rededicating yourself, turned away from the enemy and turned toward God. The enemy likes to enslave us to sin, but we can be free of him forever.

Keep walking toward God. When you fall and sin, get up, ask forgiveness and keep going.

God loves you and is there for you!
John 3:16
1 John 4:8
2 Peter 3:9

Im new here and would like to ask some questions. I just rededicated my life recently and am earnestly trying to live life Christ-centered. Need help.
  • First, in person I would ask you if you love JUesus more than your husband a children, then your answer anything other than yes I would be concerned about getting you to the foot of the cross but if you are passionate about Jesus, I have good news, indeed, you were, likely never in any danger to yourself and are and have been a Prodigal Child.
This is very important to learn because the world is full of other doctrines that when their referenced scriptures are looked at and then them the same way a any other letter, scroll or book (in context) their verse does not reflect the truth.

Now to deal with what you asked in the first place, begin a Bible study, by yourself or with another. Pick a time that is early or late, this study should take you about 15 minutes a day and no more than 20. I like to begin Jan. 1 with Genesis 1, 3 and 4 and read through to the end of The Revelation of Jesus. There Will Be tears of joy from time to time. I have read through 6 or 17 times and parts of the New Testament still bring those tears I shed when I realized God loved e and wou;ld forgive me.

Do that two years in a row anf you should have no isue with stepping in one or two Sundays, But if you do that he ready to research these folks on the forums because Primaries, ages 5, 6 and 7 ask the most well thought out and intelligent question ever heard. Two or three years later and you,ll not only raise you hands and shout "Glory," you will find you love God and people might be overheard describing you as a godly woman, seeking the heart of God. may God bless be your heart as much or even more than He has mine in my search for Him.

A peace that passes understanding fills me when I am in the embrace of my Lord and the direction for which he has made me to follow in my life.
Pray and seek him and ask of him if he is pleased. He shall answer. Ours is a relationship with our precious Savior and he is always there for us. :hug

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1 John 3:23 KJV

i know this sounds ridiculously obvious, but...

...try praying for God's perfect will in your life and the lives of your family. I only recently got past my lingering concept of God as a pagan monster w/ a thunder bolt...at least, I got past it enough to start praying for His perfect will for my life and my parents' lives. And...

...prayer changes things, including (thankfully...) the person/people praying. I have more reverence of The Lord now, but I'm less afraid of Him, if that makes sense. I'm also...growing, a good bit, as a Christian, maturing at (long, long, long) last.

Hope this helps. My cousin--he was a big time corporate dude, then he got saved, now he's doing ministry work full time--he wrote me an email once in which he said that the --big-- thing is to love God, obey God, and let your light shine, wherever He may have you.

Welcome to CFnet, btw. :-)

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. direct communication through prayer and all the above advice is truth
