How do you fall in Love with Jesus?

1 John 4:19 (New International Version, ©2010)
We love because he first loved us.

You invite His love to flow into you and through you. You can only fall in love with Him after you first experience the infinite love He has for you.

A good place to start? Ask Him to show you the severity of your sin before Him.

When you are able to recognize the pain your sin caused Him and how He suffered cruelly for those sins with nothing but your heart and your salvation in mind, you will fall DEEPLY in love.

That's my :twocents

How do you fall in Love with Jesus?

I don’t use the expression “fall in love,†since it sounds like a romantic thing.

But as for loving the Lord, it’s not hard to love someone who died to free us from the consequences of our sins, is it? Even now that he’s done that, he’s only trying to guide us to eternal contentment and security.

How do you fall in love with another person? I comes naturally. You are just naturally drawn to and desire that person. I don`t think we can manufacture love. Some have tried with pagen "love potions" and magic spells but they don`t work. Love is sort of a mystery. Jesus loved those who certainly did not deserve His love or even seek it. He just loved them/us and when we realize this love, it is then that we are drawn to His love because He loved us first and it is His love that draws us to Him. When we see it, then we desire and love Him too, but not until then. That is my opinion and my experience.

I'm wondering why this kind of question is almost always and exclusively asked of Jesus. Is it because, in our human nature, we can visualize what Christ looked like? Even though any pics of Jesus some artists conceived, it's probably not what he looked like. You almost never hear people say "I have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit" or with God the Father. You would very unlikely see a thread like this asking how we fall in love with the other two of the Trinity. I think it's got to do with Him having taken human form and knowing Him more through the Gospels.

John 14:6 says "No one comes to the Father except through Me." Does this create a distance between the father and us for some people? When I think about it, anyone who has not met Jesus in the flesh or had a personal encounter with Him, should have no reason to have any more emotion for any of the three of our One Triune God.

How do you fall in Love with Jesus?

When a person snatches you from off the tracks where a speeding train is bearing down on you, you tend to fall in love with him, with overwhelming gratefulness.
