It's this kind of attitude and snide remarks that do Christianity no favors
Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals." 1 Corinthians 15:33If they are sincere I have no problem sharing my testimoney with them or answering any questions they may have. Wanting to "debate my faith" is something I won't do with them.
Well, if you want me to lie, you would be encouraging me to sin.
I could not disagree more. All atheists that I have met are atheists on the basis of 'logic and reason'. They consider that they have arrived at a reasoned conclusion and definitely NOT on a faith or 'belief' basis.....Most atheists "I believe what I believe because I believe it"
Before you get too confident in creation science you need to spend a bit of time in the science section of this forum. EVERYtime someone thinks that they have proof of creation or proof that evolution is not true they get thoroughly slaughtered by real scientists. By 'real scientists' I mean Christians on this forum who are real scientists not faux scientists who follow a method far removed from the rigor of real science.....And that is where I will use creation science....
Again, you need to be very careful if introducing archaeology as 'proof' of anything. It may indeed be 'evidence' of historical events recorded in The Bible but it may be nothing of the kind. That 'leap of faith' is not something you will get an atheist to make. If you introduce archaeology, the atheist is likely to point out that there is no archaeological evidence that Nazareth even existed in 0-50 AD. He/she may also be aware that its original location was and is unknown (The Nazareth we know now was only built after the Pope bought that land and that land is probably in the wrong place).I believe in the bible for this reason
Personal conviction and experience.
Science shows proof of creation.
Science written in the bible is just now being discovered (YHVH rolled out the heavens etc.)
Biblical Archeology (Sodom and Goromorah was found Egyptian chariots in the red sea etc.) .......
Very true, I just had to blow off some steam. If you can do this and not fall for the devil's tricks, you are a humble person; something I'm striving for in the end. I'm learning from farouk, he might laugh at me though, ha. ;)
Well said sir. Most atheists who hang out extensively online want an argument. They expect Christians to debate them on the existence of God. Unfortunately, far too many Christians are willing to accommodate them, and by that, I mean they, too want an argument. No one ever argued anyone into heaven. In fact, no one ever did anything to get anyone else into heaven. That is the work of the Holy Spirit. I suggest we consult Him when we feel the urge to defend the Kingdom. Because the reality is, the Kingdom doesn't need our defense. God can take care of that Himself.
If someone is going to get into a discussion with an atheist, the most important thing for the unbeliever to see is Christ. Show Him through kind, thoughtful, concerned words. Why do most atheists despise Christianity? Because all they know about it are the bad displays of anger, haughtiness and pride by Christians who have been willing to join an argument instead of being willing to make a good gospel presentation. To do the latter, one has to first show that his/her statements are valid. How? By acting like the words you speak.
Thank you. I have to admit, and as you well know, I have not always lived up to those words, but I am trying. God bless, 'Verk.Well said sir.

This is the whole point of this thread! To ask or tell others that we should speak respectfully to them. Well said!
