How Dumb Are We ?

don't forget the hour for lunch

There is payed work and unpaid work. It's like as soon as the alarm clock that disturbs the peace goes off is really the start of the working day, have to get up and ready for work and wake up properly and things to do, half, or an hour getting ready for work and hour to get there traffic, an hour home, gas out of yoir own wage to get there, and a lunch break. Give or take.

So out a 12 hour day that is like 4 hours of unpaid work and 8 hours of payed work for the day. And everyone needs sleep so say 8 hours give or take. That's now 20 hours out of 24 hours just to go to work and pay taxes for the day and then getting some rest, just to repeat.

Unless people work more hours in a day as many probably do becausae the cost of living is a complete joke.

Could try going into business for yourself and see how that works for you. Hint: if you think you'll get by on just an 8-hour day you're kidding yourself.

Or, better yet, you could just go back to living off the land. Just leave everything behind and head out into the wilderness growing, hunting (using weapons you build from available resources), and foraging for food, walking wherever you go, making clothing from animal skins, striking stones to light fire for heat and cooking, cooking over open fire without any metal pots/pans, building a shelter to live in using whatever materials can be found, treating your own injuries and ailments, and so forth. That way you don't have to earn any income at all and you'll be totally self-sufficient.

I don't want to go back to the stone age, just saying the days seem too short as work takes up all the time diring the week. Because 8 hours and rest is really like 20 hours, 5 days, and for the many that just covers the cost for survival. People should be able to buy things they don't really need just because they can if 20 hours, 5 days a week, is taking up simply by work and rest. 2 days on the weekend.

If the standard was 4 hours a day and double wage people might have more time for themsleves.

my bil owning a body shop has worked long hours as often he can only trust himself to get the job done

work ethic ,that and sometimes it just takes a few more hours .

Maybe the world just goes to fast for its own good and there is no patience. Everything is about time and time is money. And everything is about convienience, it's probably why im way more lazy and unfit now than I used to be.
I think we have lost much in this modern technology but the old ways was no picnic .

go visit the old cemeteries and look at the average life of those buried there and how many kids died

Small business might struggle to pay higher wages and sometimes deal with lazy workers yet when min wages are raised it just puts more pressure on them, yet the system don't lower income tax and other taxes that would be a win and would take the pressure off small business and also the regular worker gets more pay cosf of living and all that, they want to increase min wage.

Most big corp can afford it, not many of the small guys unless they creaming it otherwise it's sending them broke.
