People think about God, and pray in their head. no one is hearing a voice however.

I talk to Him all the time.
Especially when I am driving somewhere.

From the Holy Spirit / God , no rhyming noises . I do find sometimes when I pray in tongues that the prayer words will start repeating and that is signal that there is a melody with prayer and the melody will come from the Holy Spirit the same way the tongues do and I sing the prayer . Sometimes I notice the melody will have a middle eastern tonal quality , but I guess that makes sense if my prayer language is from that area of the world .

"Rhyming" , makes me think of Paul "Rhyming" Simon the singer , song writer . From "Seven Psalms " .

We don't talk to God in our heads, we acknowledge our problems and lay out our ideas by confessing them, to which God is our witness.

I talk to God all the time within the thoughts that come to mind within my head. It doesn't always have to be vocal as many times we hear God speak to us within our mind, body and soul. We just need to be still to hear Him speak to us.
